FYI, I brought one of these home when it was $190 in BB store, could not get it to sync with my mid 2010 MacBook Pro, I tried using a display port adapter with HDMI and also single link DVI. Not sure if it requires dual link DVI or only D-sub VGA, but, it may cost you extra $ for an adapter to connect to Mac, if it will work at all. This may be why it is on clearance. At the time, (black friday, or around there), this model number (27EA31) gave me no results from LG’s website/support, but, LG seems to have minimal, if any support info. for Macs…obviously, not really PNP (Plug N Play) compatible with Macs. This also does have a full frame bezel, unlike other versions of LG’s 27″ IPS that is frameless top & sides.

…I took it back and ordered a Viewsonic 23″ IPS for $170, (VX2370smh), it came with HDMI cable and I used the same display port to HDMI adapter that wouldn’t work with the LG, and viola, connected right away, very happy with it, plus it has a 3 (yes, THREE) year warranty, unlike the LG, which has 1.

Wow…thanks I bought two and they are still in the box from BB’s BF! I was going to upgrade my editing suite…but with the caution you shared it’s not so sweet! Not only is there no ‘Free Lunches’ condiments will cost you and arm and leg! Happy New Year! t
