Games/Apps: Tales from the Borderlands goes free on iOS for the first time, Madden NFL 16 $43, iOS freebies, more

Update (10/7 1:10pm):

In today’s best game/app deals, Tales from the Borderlands for iOS has now gone free. Regularly listed at $4.99, this is the first discount on the Telltale title for iOS since it was released back in December of last year. Tales from the Borderlands: Episode 1 Zer0 Sum is also now available for free via the Xbox marketplace and PSN.

A Telltale Games Series…Set on the unforgiving world of Pandora after the events seen in Borderlands 2, this is a story full of Borderlands’ trademark humor, following two adventurers on their quest for greatness.

Newegg is offering Madden NFL 16 on PS4 for $42.98 shipped using code EMCKAAV25 during checkout. Regularly listed at $50+, this is within $3 of the lowest direct discount we have seen. We also still have FIFA 16 on PS4 and Xbox One for $49.99 shipped, matching the best straight up discount we have seen. But keep in mind, Toys R Us is still offering two select EA titles (including both of the aforementioned sports games) for $70 right now.

Newegg is also offering $15 gift cards with pre-orders of select titles. While titles like Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront and more all come with nice early discounts for Prime members, Newegg’s deal is actually a better value. Titles include everything mentioned above, plus Black ops 3, AC: Syndicate and many more.

Lastly, Sony is now offering $15 in credit back for every $100 spent on PSN from now through November 3rd. The credit is redeemable on “games, movies, TV shows, music and anything else that accepts PSN Wallet funds.”
