T-Mobile and AT&T both offering Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge in buy-one-get-one rebate deals

The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge officially launch on March 11th, despite the fact that most pre-orders have already been sent and delivered to early adopters. With the launch date looming, two of the US’ biggest carriers have kicked off an incentive to buy the new phones from them.

Customers buying a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge from AT&T or T-Mobile can claim back the full retail price of a second phone…

Starting with AT&T, the offer is available to customers who buy a Galaxy S7 (or S7 Edge) on one of the carrier’s Next plans as a new line or an upgrade, and then buy a second Galaxy S7 device as a new line on a Next 24 agreement. That means both phones have to be purchased on a Next installment plan, and the second can’t be an upgrade, it has to be a new line.

With both phones added to a qualified plan (Mobile Share Value as an example), customers will get $695 paid back to them over 30 monthly bill credits from the third month onwards. That essentially covers the entire cost of a Galaxy S7, or goes most of the way towards paying for a Galaxy S7 Edge.

The fine print reads as follows:

Free device requires 30-month 0% APR agreement at $23.17 a month. Pay up to $69.51 on free device before credits start. If wireless service on a device is cancelled, that device balance (up to $695) is due.

If you want to take advantage, both Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are available to order from ATT.com. Prices start from $23.17 for the S7 and $26.50 for the S7 Edge.  Be sure to read the full terms here before ordering.

While T-Mobile’s promotion follows a similar example, it does seem much simpler to take advantage of. Rather than wait for 30 small monthly recurring payments to be credited to your bill, T-Mobile is offering the rebate in form of credit applied to a prepaid credit card.

Buy One, Get One. Once you’ve picked out and purchased your two new Galaxy S7 for $0 down on EIP—or feel free to mix and match with the Galaxy S7 edge—and add a line, you’ll get the full retail price of the second, lower-priced device back as a prepaid debit card via online rebate. If you choose two Galaxy S7 edge, you’ll receive a rebate for the full retail value of that device. And when you buy two, families can get up to two Samsung devices on us.

To qualify you need to sign up for T-Mobile’s 24 month EIP (Equipment Installment Plan). For well-qualified customers, that means $0 up front payment and 24 monthly payments of $27.92 for the Galaxy S7, or put down $59.99 up front $30 per month for the Galaxy S7 Edge. According to the fine print, customers need to wait between 6-8 weeks before they get their credit rebate on a Prepaid Mastercard.

Read up on the offer here, and be sure to note that both these promotions are only available for a limited time.
