Also, keep in mind that MacMall only charges tax at the time of purchase for buyers in nine states (CA, CO, GA, IL, MN, NC, NY, TN, and WI).

The best Mac Black Friday deals that we’ve seen so far this week

apple-imac-5k-retina

Black Friday always offers a wide variety of discounts on a number of products, but so far this year its been slim for consumers looking for a new Mac. We have confirmed some deals from Best Buy, but they are not offering a wide variety of configurations, and have tax implications depending on your state.

Adorama and B&H Photo are both offering discounts on most Mac models this week, we’ve already spotted a nice price drop on an iMac with Retina 5K display + AppleCare from Adorama.

In some cases Adorama is bundling AppleCare with a purchase for a discounted price. B&H currently only charges for taxes for New York residents at the time of purchase, while it varies for Adorama. Additionally, you’ll need a free Adorama VIP membership to take advantage of these prices.

Below you’ll find our top picks for deals on current generation MacBook Air, Retina MacBook Pro, Mac Pro and Mac Mini from these two retailers so far:

SEIKI DIGITAL, INC. 55-INCH ULTRA HD TV SEARSUpdate: Amazon just dropped the price of the 39″ 4K model to $520 with free shipping

Seiki is pushing the envelope of budget 4K HDTVs even further with the introduction of a new 55″ model for just $1,499. This big-screen offering joins their current lineup which includes a 39 and 50-inch model. The only catch is that it is available exclusively at Sears. It can be used as a TV or massive computer monitor (hello Mac Pro!). The Seiki 55-inch class 4K model features a thin piano black finish bezel, 54.6-inch diagonal panel size, built-in digital and analog channel tuning, USB port for displaying 4K photos via USB flash drive, and multiple video and audio connections to support current standard and high-definition video content. Now here’s the kicker. If you can hold off on your purchase for two weeks, the Seiki SE55UY04 will be just $849.99 on Black Friday from Sears. That’s a $650 price drop and by far the best price on a 4K TV/monitor of its size. Sears guarantees there will be at least 2 units per store. No word on if the deal will be live online.
