Exact camera specs havent ben divulged yet, but according to Engadget who went hands-on with a Relonch prototype at Photokina 2014, it will sport “an APS-C sensor and a permanently affixed f/2 (or better) lens.”
This project is still in its infancy with an expected ship date of late 2015, but Relonch will gladly reserve you one if you preorder for $499, which is charged immediately and does not include shipping costs.
If you aren’t infatuated with the idea of handing over $500 right now for a product that may ship in a year, then it may be worth considering one of the many iPhone camera lens kits that are already on the market. We’ve been a fan of Olloclip camera lens kits for years, however they haven’t announced an updated model for iPhone 6/6 Plus. For even more power, there’s the Sony QX 10, QX 100, and the upcoming QX 1, and QX 30 lenses.
