Marshall, a company well known for its professional guitar amps, is introducing a brand new entry to its line of Bluetooth speakers. While the upcoming Marshall Acton Speaker will retain the same classic look previous models have borrowed from the iconic guitar amps, it is also the smallest and most affordable mobile speaker the company has offered to date.
Head below for a closer look on what this compact speaker has to offer, as well as availability and pricing details:
Luxury Book iPhone 7 Plus Case
Unveiled back at IFA 2014, the Acton features a standard 3.5mm jack as well as typical Bluetooth 4.0 for smartphones and tablets to drive the active stereo speaker and bass reflex system. It packs in one 4-inch woofer and two 3/4-inch tweeters to offer what Marshall calls “balanced audio boasting a clear midrange, extended highs,” and “powerful deep bass [that] seems to defy the laws of nature for its small size.” It spits out a frequency range of 50 to 20.000Hz with a crossover frequency of 4200Hz between the woofer and tweeters.
Along with the iconic Marshall logo along the front and the classic cabinet-like encasement, you’ll also find vintage style controls along top for things like EQ and the power switch.
Not only is the Acton the smallest speaker the company has ever released, it is also the most affordable. It will ship in two colors (black or cream) and will be available starting November 3rd for $300 via MarshallHeadphones.com and other retailers.
Marshall Headphones appears to be offering 20% off “sitewide” right now to celebrate a site redesign, but the discount only appears to be applying to certain items like the Mode EQ in-ear headphones at the moment.

ABOUT MARSHALL HEADPHONES
Marshall is a true rock legend. That uniquely clear and expressive sound combined with a mythical stage presence has enraptured music fans around the world for five decades. We’re celebrating brand’s rich heritage with commemorative products that live and breathe Marshall.
The legacy begins in a small drum shop in Hanwell in the 1960s, where Jim Marshal sought to give a bunch of then-local guitarists the sound they wanted – a sound that was harder, crunchier and more rich. The result was the JTM45, an amp that reverberated with a sound that was much heavier than anything ever heard before. And in a twist of rock and roll fate – those guitarists, much like the Marshall name, would go on to revolutionize music forever.
