It all started with vintage shaving products for two friends, Sebastian Sanderius and Matthew Disarcik. Enamored with the design of these testosterone wielding devices, the pair began collecting them some time ago. Then, they started to refurbish and sell them online, a hobby that eventually turned into a full fledged business. The venture spurred so much success and interest that it created a foundation for another company.

Thus, Bison Made was born. A small company out of Phoenix, Arizona creating perfectly crafted accessories for men and their devices. From a fundamentally sound iPhone 6 wallet, to the strikingly precise Straight Razor, Bison Made has everything to make you re-think your whole accessory collection.

A simple visit to BisonMade.com quickly demonstrates what the company is all about, they use words like heirloom and phrases such as “designed for life”. These aren’t products that are meant to be tossed in the trash after a year. This is a throwback company that takes great pride in what they do and more importantly, how they do it.

What started out as a hobby of collecting razor blades really set the stage for a bigger vision later down the line. In speaking with Sebastian, hearing the story unfold gives a glimpse into the passion they have for this venture.

“We started collecting these razor blades and then refurbishing them. The more time we spent [with them], the more we realized how much more care went in to these products back then” Sebastian said, “we really took the time to understand how to make a better product.”

And that is exactly what they’ve done, when perusing the product list you’ll notice that there is not any plastic, rubber, glue or linings used in these products. This was a very intentional decision, Sebastian says.

“Old things, vintage things, never used those adhesives or extras to hold a product together. We’ve gone back to the original way of crafting goods, raw leather when manufactured with care can last for a very long time.”

Indeed, the goods from Bison Made are “designed to last”. Not to mention, they are beautiful to look at as well. From the packaging of the product, it is very clear that an extra level of care and attention to detail was taken from the outset.

Bison Made offers a wide variety of products, primarily aimed at male consumers. Its expansive line of wallets offers a solution for nearly every need, whether a minimalistic design is your preference or a more traditional wallet fits the bill. They’ve also coupled with famed razor designer Max Sprecher to create a gorgeous straight razor, although at $895 it will cost you a pretty penny. Additionally, they have belts and bracelets that add a nice touch to any man’s wardrobe.

We were lucky enough to get our hands on a few products from Bison Made. Shortly after the iPhone 6 was released, we were sent the newest addition to its line, the iPhone 6 Wallet. This simplistic yet highly functional single piece of leather is hand sewn at the bottom to hold your device, cards and cash. It comes in nine shades of leather, from the dark “jet” to the “cognac” (our color of choice). We found the iPhone 6 Wallet to be a nice solution for an evening out, slimming down all of the things we typically carry with us into one simple package.

Additionally, we also checked out the No.2 Wallet in Burgundy, the Double Wrap Bracelet in Burgundy and the No.2 Belt in Cognac. We found all of these products to be made with an extra level of care and thought, they certainly are a solid addition to any man’s wardrobe.
