Update (5/6 10:30pm): Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 is now available for pre-order at Amazon.
Rejoice Tony Hawk fans, after years of dormancy, the wildly popular skateboard game will be making its triumphant return on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Pro Skater 5 will look to go back to its old school heritage combining arcade style gameplay along with a number of new additions…
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 will feature new levels, missions and power-ups, even the ability to shoot projectiles at other players. In addition to some former THPS characters, several new skaters will be joining as well: Nyjah Huston, Aaron Homoki, Ishod Wair, Riley Hawk, Lizzie Armanto, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Leticia Bufoni, and Andrew Reynolds.
It will have an online co-op mode as well as competitive play. You’ll be able to just skate around or enjoy a number of the features from past titles, including the ability to build a skatepark and share with friends. Screenshots acquired by Game Informer show the next level graphics that bring this game back to life. Personally, I can’t wait to be shredding the streets of San Francisco again with that perfect soundtrack blaring out of my speakers.
The newest generation of Tony Hawk Pro Skater will be hitting Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year, with PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to follow shortly after.
