It seems like every camping experience is a hassle. First, you have to gather all your gear, travel to a location and finally set it all up in hopes that you didn’t forget something. Tents and sleeping bags aside, making sure that you have all the cooking tools on hand can be an arduous process.
There is a clever company out of Europe that is attempting to solve all these struggles. Instead of piecing together a useful set of kitchen utensils, Camp Champ puts a whole kitchen together in one small wooden package.
The premise is fairly simple: everything needed for a proper meal is included in a neatly wrapped wooden box. That includes a four-burner gas stove, pots and pans plus a full place setting for six people. No matter the meal, Camp Champ has you covered. Other add-ons include a knife block, coffee maker and strainer.
Once out of the camper, the whole thing sets up like a miniature kitchen. Everything has a place and it’s all beautifully designed. The box itself is made from plywood with a thin African wood vaneer. It has steel accents on the corner for reinforcement, handles for carrying and the whole container can be covered with a waterproof wrapping. Coming in at 154 pounds, it might require a few people to move it.
Camp Champ has a list price of $3,000 and is handmade in Austria. A 50% deposit is required to get on the order list with the remaining balance due prior to shipping.
