Spigen’s latest Apple Watch dock is designed for watchOS 2 Nightstand mode, pre-order now for $12

Spigen’s original Apple Watch dock was an instant hit with early adopters. But that was before Apple announced watchOS 2 during WWDC. The first major software update for Apple Watch includes Nightstand mode, which turns your Apple Watch into an alarm clock while it charges overnight. It’s going to be a convenient feature, but the problem is that it is only available when your Apple Watch is sitting on its side. That means most current Apple Watch docks, including Spigen’s first offering, aren’t compatible with Nightstand mode since they can only hold Apple Watch in an upright position. However, Spigen’s new Apple Watch dock was built with Nightstand mode in mind:

Spigen’s not-so creatively named S350 Apple Watch Stand is made entirely of TPU (plastic) so there shouldn’t be any risk of damaging your scratch-prone Apple Watch. The back of the stand has cutouts to hold your charging puck in place, while the bottom has an extended bottom lip to support your Apple Watch. Spigen has outfitted the bottom with anti-slip technology so it shouldn’t fall over or move around when you undock your Apple Watch.

You can pre-order Spigen’s new Apple Watch Stand for $11.99 shipped. First shipments are expected on August 13th.

For all other times when you’re not using Nightstand mode, Spigen’s aluminum stand ($18.99 Prime shipped) will do a good job displaying your Apple Watch vertically.
