Skip launch lines! Amazon to offer midnight deliveries for Call of Duty: Black Ops III via Prime Now

Amazon is stepping into the world of midnight video game releases in a major way this year. While usually it’s the other major retailers like Best Buy and Walmart offering late night game sales, Amazon will be offering midnight deliveries through its Prime Now service of the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops III on Friday November 6th, the game’s official release date. Basically speaking, you can get Black Ops 3 delivered to your front door within hours (or less) of it releasing Friday at midnight. But it won’t be as easy as just pre-ordering in the typical fashion:

Those interested will have to get their hands on the free Prime Now app to place a pre-order and reserve a delivery time. Reservations of delivery times and pre-orders will come available inside the Prime Now app starting at midnight on November 4th. Needless to say, this is a first come-first serve situation, so be sure to pre-order and scoop up a delivery window (2-hour windows) as soon as possible on the 4th if you’re interested.

Prime Now offers even faster delivery times (as little as one hour) and is currently available in Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Manhattan, Miami, Minneapolis, Orange County, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Antonio, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle. You can find out everything you need to know about Prime Now right here and the app is available for download here.

You can check out the rest of our game deals across every platform in our daily roundups.

More info:

Release night pre-orders must be placed using the Prime Now app with reservations starting at midnight eastern standard time on November 4. Customers will be able to choose a special delivery window, select additional items they might need for their late night mission — such as beverages, snacks or extra gaming controllers — and pre-order the game for late night delivery on its release night, Nov. 6. There is limited availability within each delivery window so customers are urged to download the Prime Now app and be ready to reserve their delivery on Nov. 4 at midnight eastern when pre-orders begin in the app.
