Games/Apps: Mortal Kombat XL pre-order (Prime only) $48, Animal Crossing HHD $34, iOS freebies, more

Update (1/21 2:35pm):

In today’s best game/app deals, the newly announced Mortal Kombat XL for PS4 and Xbox One is eligible for Amazon’s Prime pre-order discount, dropping it from $59.99 down to $47.99 shipped. That’s 20% off, matching Best Buy’s GCU pricing and the best we can find. It comes with the “main game, new playable characters: Alien, Leatherface, Triborg, and Bo’Rai Cho, new skins pack: Apocalypse Pack and all previously released skins packs.” That’s within $1 of the current going rate for the standard edition of the game. XL is set for release on March 1st.

Next up, we have Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (amiibo card included) on 3DS for $33.97 Prime shipped. That’s 15% below the original $40 listing, the lowest Amazon has offered it for and the best price we can find. A number of Animal Crossing amiibo are available for around $5, alongside pre-orders on wave 2 figures at Amazon. Speaking of pre-orders, the Zelda Twilight Princess HD remake is still disocunted for Prime memebers, and this morning we spotted the New Nintendo  3DS XL Fire Emblem Fates Edition up for early purchase for $199.99 shipped at Best Buy and GameStop.

Other notables include Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Pack (Dark Edition with Stealth Elf) for Wii U for $53.30 shipped (Reg. $68+) and Resident Evil: Revelations 2 from $19.88 Prime shipped (Reg. $25+).

Remember, we still have very notable deals on 1Password, Deliveries and Duet Displays. And down below you’ll find today’s iOS/Mac price drops including Hundreds, LEGO Star Wars Saga, 8bitWar: Apokalyps and more. Don’t forget, Exploding Kittens: the “most-funded game in Kickstarter history” hit iOS w/ special launch offer.
