Verizon announces trade-in program that nets a free iPhone 7/Plus or Google Pixel (and others) for new Unlimited users

Verizon Wireless made a big announcement last night, introducing a new unlimited data plan in response to increased pressure from T-Mobile and Sprint. For a limited time, Verizon is offering a number of top devices for free when you switch from a competitor and go with its latest plan. This includes some of our favorite devices on the market right now: iPhone 7/Plus, Google Pixel, Moto Z Droid, Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge and more.

There a few details worth going over here: you’ll need to currently be on a plan from a competing provider and willing to trade in your current device (list of accepted devices). Also, you’ll have to opt for a device payment plan and Verizon will issue credits off-setting your monthly balance over the course of 24 months. Full details on this offer and Verizon’s new Unlimited plan can be found here.

Verizon is changing the game by introducing Verizon Unlimited – the best unlimited plan in wireless. If you want to call it quits with your current provider and join the network that has your back, for a limited time Verizon is making it even easier. Switch to Verizon, choose Verizon Unlimited and get the hottest smartphones for free — including iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Google Pixel, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force Droid, Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, or LG V20. In order to get one of today’s most coveted phones for free, you need to bring your phone number to Verizon, sign up for the introductory Verizon Unlimited plan, select device payment and trade in one of 15 eligible devices*. You can get these same phones for only $5/month when selecting device payment and trading in one of six eligible devices.
