Standing out from the pack isn’t an easy proposition for TV manufacturers. Leave it to Euro-based Loewe to figure out it. Its new bild 9 OLED combines a striking design with high-end technology that results in one of the coolest looking TVs that we’ve ever seen. Inspired by Bauhaus and Art Deco, it blends sharp lines and a variety of materials for a sleek, mid-century look. The 7mm 4K OLED display is mounted to a matte gold bracket system that takes this TV from electronic to focal point. More below.
Setting the design aside for one moment, Loewe nails its newest home theater release by including an OLED 4K display. For some time LG had a stronghold on this corner of the market, but this technology is now slowly making its way to other manufacturers. In my personal experience, there’s no better display than OLED. So kudos to Loewe for making the quality of its display panel a priority.
The metal frame comes in three different styles and is hand-forged, ground and polished in Loewe’s factory before being attached to the TV itself. When powered on, the OLED panel slides upwards to reveal a 120W integrated soundbar system. It’s also capable of connecting wirelessly to Loewe’s KLang 9 speaker system thanks to the included 5.1-channel decoder.
Loewe’s latest release is wall-mountable, if you choose to bypass the metal stand. But I mean, come on, who would do that?! Floorstanding TVs have enjoyed a renaissance as of late with brands like Samsung also offering a similar design with its Serif line. You won’t hear any complaints from us, the TV market is desperate for some innovation when it comes to looks.
Bild 9 also offers a few other unique features that are worth mentioning. Most notably is a built-in 1TB digital tuner that can record your content for viewing at a later time. This in’t a TiVo-licensed feature, but still worth noting as very few, if any, TVs on the market today offer this functionality. Popular streaming services and a concealed cable management system round out the list of notable specs and features here.
Loewe’s new bild 9 OLED TV is available for purchase today direct from the manufacturer. It comes in 55 and 65-inch sizes with your choice of Amber Gold or Graphite Gray colorings. Prices start at $8.725, so this high class style won’t come cheap. If you can afford it, there’s no doubt that you’ll have one of the most unique TVs out there right now.
