Baserock could be a music lover’s ultimate daypack with its integrated bass

Music lovers tend to spend the necessary amount of money on quality speakers. While on the go, it’s hard to bring along the bulky audio box that belongs in our living room, so we take a portable speaker along with us. As many of us know from experience, the quality difference is extraordinary between the two speakers.

Baserock is a unique backpack featuring built-in technology that allows you to physically feel music. It’s fully funded on Kickstarter (over 400%) and has plenty of early bird specials still available. Vibrating bass frequencies travel throughout the backpack and your body, providing a “completely new and immersive way to experience the music you love.”

There’s an integrated microphone input on Baserock, so if you were to wear it to a concert, it would listen to the music that is being played. Once recognized, the backpack will use built-in bass to make your concert experience better than ever. The back panel is EVA molded foam, designed to transfer the bass throughout your body. Though a little bit of a strange concept, it’s interesting, and could be enjoyable to music enthusiasts.

Even without a concert, Baserock can still give you an immersive music experience. Easily plug in your smartphone or music-playing device and a pair of headphones to start jamming.

If you want the Baserock experience, but you want to be playing the music out loud, simply plug in your favorite portable speaker instead of headphones.

In addition to music-related features, the Baserock has a 2 liter capacity BPA-free reservoir system. It’s sturdy and leak proof, and has a quick disconnect valve between the tube and reservoir for easy cleaning. To avoid leaks, you can shut off the valve at the nozzle.

A backpack wouldn’t be worth it if it wasn’t comfortable. This bag was designed with quality straps which are said to guarantee a comfortable and easy wear throughout the day. The shoulder straps are thickly padded for comfort, yet use a breathable mesh and foam. The hip belt helps weight be distributed evenly, and it’s padded with zipper pockets for easy access to your smaller essentials.

With 16 liters of storage space, Baserock is ideal for a day trip. There are multiple pockets offering versatility to help you organize your belongings. The water resistance feature will keep your items safe from damage, too.

Baserock is available for pre-order on Kickstarter for $229 with expected delivery in February 2018. In the box you get the backpack, a 2-liter hydration reservoir, 3.5mm auxiliary cord, and wall charger.
