ZUS Smart Tire Safety Monitor brings the “first ever” slow leak detection to the road

Smart technology and sensors are seemingly built-in to everything these days whether it’s home products or even tools and more. Nonda has already brought us its iHere 3.0 smart tracker and key finder, but now the company is looking to bring you some peace of mind on the road.

The company’s new app-connected ZUS Smart Tire Safety Monitor is designed to keep track of the health and condition of your tires in real-time and provide you with instant feedback on your smartphone of choice. The system consists of three elements: 4 German-designed sensors for each tire, a small on-board receiver that rests in your vehicle and the smartphone app.

Data passes wirelessly from the tire sensors directly to the receiver followed by immediate notifications of various issues the moment they happen on your smartphone. You can view the tire pressure (PSI/kPa/Bar) and temperatures (°F/°C) for each wheel directly on your iPhone with what Nonda calls Slow Leak Detection.

According to the company, using advanced data mining technology, ZUS is the “first ever” tire monitor to be able to detect slow leaks on your tires. The company does this with a proprietary algorithm known as AccurateTemp that analyzes pressure and temperature over time to detect small leaks other monitoring systems miss, according to Nonda. It can pinpoint which tire is leaking and the rate of leakage.

Underinflated tires are hard to identify just by looking. That’s why they pose a real danger. With ZUS, view each tire’s pressure data directly on your smartphone. Keep your tires properly inflated and your loved ones safe the EASY way.

Another interesting feature here is it can be installed by anyone in about 10 minutes apparently. That can be really handy when, for example, you’re about to load the family or some friends into a rental car for a long road trip or something of that nature. I think all of us can think of a scenario where having something like this would make us feel a little bit safer.

Nonda will also throw in a locking kit which includes 4 nuts to keep your sensors secured on the tires. The kit can also prevent the sensors from being “easily unscrewed” by would-be thieves.

The ZUS Smart Tire Safety Monitor system crushed its Indiegogo goal by about 2000% having raised more than $416,000 at the time of writing. Backers can grab one monitoring system for $99 right now via the crowd funding campaign, which is $20 off the expected retail price. You expect shipping to begin in August.
