Fans of LEGO’s Creator line of kits will know that it’s full of brick-built iconic vehicles models like the classic Volkswagen Beetle or the newer Mini Cooper. Now LEGO continues this with the release of the famous London Double-decker Bus, which is finally available for purchase for $139.99. With over 1,600 pieces and London-themed iconography, the kit is packed with details worthy of any collection.
Measuring in at over a 13-inches long and 7-inches high, the London Bus sports the same exterior you’d expect to see passing by you on the street. Complete with transparent glass windows as well as reversible transit advertising posters you’ll be able to choose between authentic 1950’s imagery, or ads from present day.
While the set is made more for display purposes, you’ll still find a removable upper-deck, which reveals the bus’ interior. Inside you’ll find plenty of seating, a full driver’s section with controls and more. Other incorporated details include a ticket bin, fire extinguisher and a half-spiral staircase add to the overall accuracy of the set, making it a true collector’s piece.
As of now the set is only available directly from LEGO, but it shouldn’t be too long before it starts popping up at other retailers. The London Bus kit retails for $139.99, which is priced fairly reasonably compared to other creator kits of this size.
