The latest from Otterbox combines an attractive soft-shell design with the ability to keep ice frozen for up to 72-hours at a time. It’s the blend of lightweight design and impressive refrigeration that has Otterbox hoping it can challenge the big names in this competitive space.
Otterbox is unveiling two new coolers as a part of this week’s announcement, starting with the ‘Trooper 20’. The 20-quart capacity cooler has “thermal- and food-grade” insulation for keeping your munchies cool and safe for long periods of time. There’s two large padded carrying straps on top along with the ability to attach other Otterbox accessories for additional storage. Oh, and it naturally has a bottle opener as well.
Jumping to the larger Trooper 30 model delivers enough room for up to 30-liters of food and drink. Perhaps the best reason for upgrading are the nifty backpack-style straps that should allow for a more comfortable experience on long hikes. The Trooper 30 also has additional tiedowns with Duraflex hardware and a few extra storage areas, which is perfect for batteries and the like.
The new Otterbox line of coolers sports an IP-65 rating, which offers protection from water and strenuous activities, making it a perfect companion for life outdoors. Otterbox includes a lifetime warranty with both models, as well.
Trooper 20 will start at $249, while the larger 30 model is available for $299. Both will ship in three different colors, including Hazy Harbor, Alpine Ascent, and Forest Edge.
