Moto Rocker delivers retro-inspired racing design to your kid’s playroom … for $1,600

It’s pretty hard to re-imagine something as simple as a rocking horse. A toy that’s been around for centuries, and has typically been limited to a wooden design going back as far as we can remember.

Designer Felix Monza has taken the iconic design and re-engineered it into one of the coolest toys we’ve ever seen. Dubbed ‘the Moto Rocker’ this new toy is sure to make your kid the coolest on the block thanks to clean lines and racer-inspired look. That is, if you can get over the price tag.

The Moto Rocker is admittedly one of the coolest toys I’ve ever seen. Made for the child that’s “fascinated with two-wheeled machines and enchanted by the scent of their father’s oil infused garage”, there’s no doubt that is one unique product.

Right of the bat it’s easy to see retro-inspired design cues here, taken from a one-cylinder 125cc engine. Along with leather wrapped handles, is a hand-stitched seat that’s made to feel just like a real racer. The attention to detail here is outstanding. My favorite part is the custom decal that’s included with every purchase that is hand-stamped with the rider’s name and a series number.  You’ll also notice that there is a headlight and taillight on the front and back, but unfortunately neither are functioning.

All details of an actual motorcycle are designed and applied to the Moto Rocker to mimic the true feeling of riding. The first edition comes with a one-cylinder 125ccm engine, a head light and a tail light. The hand made seat is fabricated with genuine leather. Every rider‘s name is placed on the frame bracket with the serial number and version details making it their own. Choose between cafe/brat or track style depending on the type of flooring in your living room. The color of the tank can be painted on order.

It comes in at about 20-inches in height, with around 25-inches in total length. The official specs rate it for kids aged one to four, with support for up to kids up to 110-pounds. So yes, it might last longer than four years.

Those interested in purchasing a Moto Rocker need to know a few details up front. First, the price. Listed at $1,600, this is certainly more expensive than the typical rocking horses that you’ll find on Amazon. Because each model is custom-made by hand, there’s also a 10-week lead time on all orders. Head over to the Moto Rocker landing page to check out more details.
