Hisense today has added yet another TV lineup to it portfolio. Originally shown at CES, the H8E offers a lot of what you would expect in 2018. Features like 4K, HDR, and Motion Rate 120 are pretty common, but what sets this TV apart is Alexa integration. Users will be able to control their TV using the popular voice assistant with a voice controlled remote or via the Hisense Remote Now app.
Hisense has released a slew of new products lately. On Friday of last week, Hisense began shipping its massive 80-inch laser TV in China, and earlier this month the company added the 4K-capable R7 Roku TV series. At this rate, the company is certain to be putting a lot of pressure on its competitors.
Not only is Hisense adding a lot of value with the plethora of features in of its releases, they are also keeping their new products budget-friendly which is sure to garner lots of attention from consumers looking to buy a new television this year.
The H8E’s Alexa compatibility will allow users to control functions on their TV like inputs, volume, and more. In addition users can ask Alexa for weather updates and, as you would expect, be presented visually with the information requested.
While these features are nice, the main benefit of having Alexa built into your TV is that users can control other smart accessories in their home from the comfort of their living room or wherever they choose to install the television.

Hisense is not the only company to add Alexa to a device like a TV. Just last week, Optoma released its UHD51A projector which also packs Amazon’s assistant. At the time, Optoma touted that it was world’s first projector to do this. While that may have been true, with both Hisense and Optoma adding this to entertainment devices, it appears that neither company will likely be the last since this trend may just be getting started.
The H8E is available in four sizes: 43-, 50-, 55- and 65-inches. Models are priced respectively at $379.99, $449.99, $469.99, and $749.99. They will be available for purchase today from Best Buy or directly from Hisense.
