Bentley’s 100th Anniversary book weighs 66-pounds, folds out to match full-size car

Bentley is known as one of the most iconic automotive brands in the history of the industry. Having been founded in 1919, we’re rapidly approaching its 100 year anniversary. In celebration, Bentley Motors and Opus are collaborating to create the limited edition Best in Class anniversary collector’s book.

As you’d expect, it’s littered with gorgeous images and interesting facts dating back to Bentley’s inception. My personal favorite feature is the massive fold-out pages that unwrap to the size of a full-size Bentayga. More details below, including how you can come to own one yourself.

Opus is the publisher behind this massive project, which aims to recount all of Bentley’s most memorable moments from the last 100 years. That includes a detailed look at each of its most iconic vehicles and the stories behind them. The limited edition book weighs in at a massive 66-pounds. Yes, you read that right, 66-pounds.

While the sheer weight of the book impresses, one of the more notable features of the book are a handful of gatefold pages that measure nearly 7-feet in size when full unveiled. Opus has really outdone itself here with this unique way to show off Bentley’s gorgeous vehicles.

Bentley has provided Opus with thousands of pictures, over half of which have never been seen in public or in full color prior to the book’s release. Along with those nuggets, Opus has enjoyed “unprecedented” access to Bentley’s pool of designers, both past and present.

Are you interested in the Bentley Opus 100th Anniversary Book? Well, it’s probably going to cost you. See, 66-pound books don’t come cheap. Final pricing has yet to be announced, but for comparison, a similar book about Bentley arch-rival Ferrari recently started selling for $30,000. Opus is set to release additional details in the coming months ahead of Bentley’s official anniversary in 2019. One thing is for sure, this is certain to be a hot release for any auto enthusiast.
