Nintendo expands Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Labo integration with Vehicle Kit support

Earlier this year, Nintendo updated Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to get support for its Labo cardboard construction kits. And just last month, we also got a look at the upcoming Vehicle Kit. Today Nintendo has announced that it will be bringing the very same support for its latest Labo release into the racing game as well.

Back in June when Nintendo brought Labo support to Mario Kart 8, racing around the track primarily relied on simplistic motion controls. But now that Nintendo is stepping things up with the new Labo Vehicle Kit, you’ll be able to have an even more immersive karting experience.

The new Toy-Con Car’s steering wheel means that you won’t have lean as much to take sharp turns like you did with the motorbike and thanks to the added foot pedal, accelerating is even more lifelike. A few other controls have been swapped around as well, with the cardboard wheel’s horn being used to throw green shells and the like.

Nintendo’s upcoming Labo Vehicle Kit is slated to release on September 14th, meaning we’ll likely see the new Mario Kart update drop around the same time frame.
