Everyone is getting in on this “truly wireless” earbud train after Apple took the world by storm with AirPods. You can generally find this style of headphones in just about any price range, from quite budget-friendly to around $200. However, we’ve got a newcomer to the market. Skullcandy just recently announced its Push headphones, which are available starting now at Target.

Skullcandy Push Truly Wireless Headphones

Skullcandy is a well-known manufacturer in the headphone realm. I’ve used them on-and-off for years, and Push looks like it could be a great purchase for fans of the brand.

You’ll get six hours of battery life in each earbud, with the case providing another six hours of charge. The ear hooks will make sure the buds don’t fall out and stay secure in your ears.

On the side of the buds, you’ll find a single multi-function button. This will allow you to change the track, control volume, answer a call or even activate Assistant or Siri. This single button is a great alternative to swipes or multi-button layouts, in my opinion. You click the right button twice to turn the volume up, left button twice to turn it down. Triple press either button to activate your assistant, and you can do a single tap to answer or end a call. Plus, hold the left button for two seconds to reject a call or put it on hold. Skullcandy really did a great job making two buttons do quite a bit of work.

The Push earbuds come in one color, Psychotropical Teal. This is a nice change in pace from the normal gray or white earbuds we normally see, and really make them stand out from the crowd.

The case is quite a bit bulkier than other alternatives like AirPods, so do keep that in mind if you’re looking to pick up the Push headphones.

An area that Push does have over AirPods, however, is the replacement cost. Though Apple charges $69 if you lose a single AirPod, Skullcandy will only charge you $49 for a replacement. This is nice if you happen to misplace a bud, but given the lower cost of Push over AirPods to begin with, it’s understandable.

Though these earbuds don’t offer fitness tracking or waterproofing, they’re a great option for those who like Skullcandy’s sound signature.

You can purchase Skullcandy Push starting today from Target. They’re currently on sale for $99.99, though the MSRP is $129.99. Starting in 2019, Skullcandy Push should become available from more retailers nationwide.
