Whether it’s making the journey to work or exploring on the weekends, cycling is a great way to get around. However, this form of transport can be pretty exhausting — especially if you live in a hilly area. Rad Power Bikes wants to make cycling more accessible to everyone. The Seattle-based company makes a range of sturdy electric bikes that can handle hills and even take on trails. With the assistance of a powerful electric motor, you can enjoy the ride without feeling the burn…

Founded in 2007, Rad Power Bikes was originally a one-man startup. Fast forward to 2015, and the company re-launched as a consumer-direct brand and introduced its first model: the RadRover Electric Fat Bike.

This rugged utility bike has a 750-watt hub motor mounted on a sturdy frame made from 6061 aluminum. You get 25 to 45 miles of assisted cycling on a full charge, and the RadRover has a payload of 275 pounds. According to Rad Power Bikes, the RadRover is actually the best-selling electric fat bike in North America.

Today, Rad Power Bikes offers eight models, from the RadCity Electric Commuter Bike through to the versatile and adaptable RadRunner Electric Utility Bike. The company also offers the RadRover Step-Thru, a low-step version of its flagship model that’s more accessible to people of all ages and ability levels. They all feel sturdy on the road, and these eBikes have practical features such as integrated headlights and brake lights, puncture-resistant tires, and digital displays.

Prices start at $1,299, with financing available. Rad Power Bikes also offers strong customer support, both before and after purchase.
