The Outer Worlds on Nintendo Switch now has a firm release date. The Obsidian developed sci-fi RPG was confirmed to be headed to Nintendo’s hybrid console in the summer of last year ahead of today’s confirmed March launch day. After the successful launch of The Outer Worlds, Obsidian is ready to completely move away from the Fallout formula with its new game, Grounded. After essentially writing the book on open-world Fallout style games and then moving that expertise over to The Outer Worlds IP with great success, Obsidian is going in a completely new direction. This virtual reality update will allow it to be enjoyed on just about every VR headset from Playstation to Vive through either PS VR or Steam VR. There’s an additional exclusive physical edition for PlayStation shoppers, but the update itself will be free to all who already own the game.
