TiVo is a brand name that is well known when it comes to recording TV shows. It was one of the original digital video recorders (along with ReplayTV). I purchased the Series 2 TiVo in 2003, and I used it for four years before retiring it for a Comcast branded DVR when I got my first HDTV in 2007. Even after switching to a non-TiVo DVR, I missed the familiar interface. Even to this day, I’ve used countless DVR solutions from various companies, and nothing touches the simplicity of the TiVo. Will the TiVo Bolt OTA for Antenna live up to the hype?

Paint nights have become a popular pastime over the last several years. It’s easy to see why: just grab your favorite bottle of booze and a few good friends with whom you can spend the next two to three hours creating a masterpiece (via the assistance of a trained artist). It doesn’t matter if you’ve never graduated past fingerpainting in kindergarten — at paint night, everyone is a skilled artist. Great, right?

If you’re more of a homebody, however, that may not sound like much fun for you. Fortunately, it’s easy to recreate a paint night in the confines of your own home. You can invite whoever you want (even if that’s nobody), work at your own pace without fear of shutting the studio down, and have refreshments on hand in your kitchen already.

Below are three things you’ll need to set up the ultimate at-home paint night experience: expand full story

TiVo is a bit of a household name when it comes to DVRs outside of your normal cable provider offerings. The company has been a go-to name for many years when people want the ability to record over-the-air broadcasts to watch later.

Well, TiVo announced its all-new BOLT OTA for Antenna today. This DVR is a 4K model that is built to work with HD antennas, so you can record the highest-quality over-the-air broadcasts, though TiVo still charges its monthly fee, so you won’t be getting off completely scot-free here.

Today VIZIO has officially released its first Dolby Atmos-equipped soundbars and home theater systems. Unlike its previous offerings, VIZIO’s latest soundbars arrive today at a higher price-point than we’ve seen in recent years. The question is, are consumers willing to pay for the latest Dolby Atmos technology?

Companies have long been cashing in on the retro gaming craze that’s returned in full force in recent years. We’ve seen products that look to breathe new life into formerly abandoned consoles, a wide range of emulators and even extremely popular releases from Nintendo. And while E3 focused on the titles we’re looking forward to play in the future, a new console was announced that aims its focus on games of the past. Based around a module design, the Polymega can play everything from NES, SNES and Genesis games to PS1 and TurboGrafx-16 titles.
