(Update 10/27 4:45pm):

  • And…it’s back. The Borderlands Handsome Collection freebie is now avialble once again.
  • It appears as though The Borderlands Handsome offer is no longer avialble.

In today’s best game/app deals, Microsoft Store is offering Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on Xbox One for free! Some users are suggesting you may need a Gold Live membership and that the game(s) are only available through Monday. But either way, free is free. It goes for $30 on Amazon and includes “Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, built specifically for next-gen consoles.”

Next up, we have BioShock and BioShock 2 for Mac at $5. Regularly $20 each, these prices are matching the lowest they have been offered for on the Mac App Store. And remeber, console gamers can still grab BioShock: The Collection (which contains all three games + DLC) for $55 shipped (or $48 for Prime members) on Amazon.

Down below we have a massive listed of top-notch iOS proce drops including Kingdom Rush Frontiers, Sonic CD, Sproggiwood, The Room Three, King Oddball, Shadowmatic and many more. You only have a few hours left to grab the latest Free App of the Week, here are the Best Console Game Releases for October, the Inspire Pro painting/sketching app is free and you can now turn your iPad into a second display for your Mac w/ Duet Display at 50% off. Duet Displays for iOS/Mac is now on sale for $9.99. It regularly sells for $19.99 and this is the best price we have seen since January 2016. While we have seen it dip down to $8 a couple in times in the past couple years, this popular app doesn’t often drop this low.

Along with today’s sale, the developer is also introducing its new Duet Pro features as an in-app purchase. Compatible with Apple Pencil, the new updates allow users to turn their Pad Pro into a second display/high performance drawing tablet for pro Mac apps (will also be available on Windows). While the usual functionality on Duet Displays remains – turning your iPad into an additional display for your Mac – the Pro drawing features will run you an extra $20 per year. You can find more details right here on the official site and the promo video below:

Most of us are wielding a smartphone device and a tablet in our daily lives now, but there are certain groups of consumers that are still without an easy way to consume content from family and friends. Perhaps it’s a grandparent or someone that isn’t as technologically savvy. A new product called Loop is hoping to fill that need in the market today. This retro-inspired iPad look-alike has a 10-inch IPS display that is designed to simplify communication and content consumption.

On the side is a knob and button interface that allows you to scroll through a variety of ‘channels’. This includes social channels like Facebook, YouTube and Instagram or a stream of photos supplied by your computer or another family member. In fact, someone can send images or video direct from the free smartphone app. It has a built-in microphone that makes browsing easier without the need to be intimately familiar with an operating system. Loop is powered by an internal four-hour battery, so you can take it on-the-go. It is currently available for $199 and would certainly make a fun Christmas present this year.

Apple’s move to drop the 3.5mm headphone jacket with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus leaves you with 2 reasonable options for listening to music or taking calls: connect wirelessly via Bluetooth or directly through the Lightning port. There’s also that tiny 3.5mm to Lightning adapter, but that’s just messy. Even though Bluetooth has come a long way, it’s still finicky enough to be a real hassle at times (especially on low-end models). I prefer wired earbuds for ease of use (no doing the Bluetooth pair/re-pair dance) and super sound quality.

If Apple’s EarPods refuse to stay in your ears or you just need an extra pair of headphones for your travel bag, you should take a look at Spigen’s just announced in-ear Lightning headphones with remote and mic. They retail for $46.99, but we’ve partnered with Spigen to bring 9to5Toys readers an exclusive 50% launch day discount. Just enter coupon code STA8IZQH during checkout at Amazon to drop your final price to $23.50. Unlike the majority of budget Lightning headphones that have come before it, these are backed by an established and trusted company in Spigen. And at this price, you honestly can’t go wrong.

Spigen is also pushing out its new 24W/4.8A dual-port USB car charger live today. And again, we’ve managed to secure you an exclusive discount. This time coupon code LOTR9N8T will knock the price from $8.99 to just $2.99 (67% off). Pair it with some extra Lightning cables and you’ll be able to quickly charge your iPhone or iPad while on-the-go.

The headphones include free standard shipping and the car charger is Prime eligible.

Target is currently discounting iPad mini 4 and iPad Air 2 in select configurations by as much as 23%. Free shipping is available in all instances or you can opt for in-store pick up. As shown below, Target offers an extra 5% discount for REDcard holders (not a bad idea to sign-up ahead of the holidays, it’s free!). If you’re looking to save big on the larger capacities, these are some of the strongest discounts that we’ve seen. You’ll recall that Apple recently adjusted the pricing structure of nearly its entire lineup, making today’s deal even sweeter.

Here’s a look at the pricing in today’s sale:

The iPad mini 4 features a 7.9-inch 2048-by-1536 Retina display, A8 chip, M8 motion coprocessor, 8MP iSight camera, dual microphones and Touch ID. Meanwhile, Apple’s iPad Air 2 has a 9.7-inch Retina display with 2048×1536 resolution, 10 hours of battery life, 802.11ac wireless and Touch ID.

Apple is hosting an event on Thursday, but we’re only expecting to see new Macs with an iPad refresh coming in the first half of 2017. You might find stronger discounts throughout the holidays but that’s not a guarantee.
