Free credit to go see Jurassic World in theaters w/ select Blu-rays + Jurassic Park HD rental for $1, more

Update (6/19 9:00am): Best Buy is currently offering $7.50 in free Fandango cash to go see Jurassic World in theaters with the purchase of select Blu-rays. There is a much wider selection than the below Target sale with many titles including Back to the Future, Jaws, King Kong and many more.

Just recently released, the new Jurassic World movie has taken the world by storm becoming the first film to ever cross $500 million worldwide on launch weekend. It also topped The Avengers with the highest earning opening weekend in North America, and today we have some deals to get you into the theater for less and a couple to get you caught up on the series.

First up, inside of its weekly deal flyer, Target is offering up to $7.50 in free theater cash to go see Jurassic World with the purchase of select Blu-rays. There are a few Blu-rays at $8 each with free in-store pickup (Reg. $15) that will net you the free credit including the original Jurassic Park, The Lost World and Jurassic Park III. You will need to navigate to page 16 in the weekly Target ad to view the deals and add the desired Blu-ray(s) to your cart.

If you have already seen the new movie, and aren’t interested in the Blu-rays, Amazon Instant Video is offering HD rentals of the original film for just $1 right now. Regularly $3, this is the best price we can find on an HD digital rental of Jurassic Park. You have 30 days to complete watching this 24 hour rental and it can be downloaded to 2 locations.

You’ll also find the 2014 release of Annie down at $1 for an HD rental as well.

Media: Whiplash HD rental for $1 (Reg. $5), Imitation Game Blu-ray $13 + more from $5

Update (5/21 10:45am):

Both Amazon Instant Video and iTunes are offering HD rentals of the 2014 Oscar award winning film Whiplash for just $0.99. Regularly $4.99 to rent, this is the lowest we have seen an HD rental for the film go for. The buying price has also been dropped from $14.99 down to $9.99 on both Amazon and iTunes, much better than the $20+ you’ll pay from Google. It stars Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons, who took home the Academy Award for best supporting actor, and follows a young, aspiring jazz drummer “in his pursuit to rise to the top of his elite east coast music conservatory.”

Amazon Instant Video Stories April 15, 2015

(Update 4/17): Now live! Ends tonight at 3:01am EST.

Amazon has exclusive streaming rights to BBC’s Orphan Black TV show. It’s available to Prime members for free, otherwise it’ll cost you about $15 per season to buy it in HD. But for 24 hours only, Amazon is serving up season one of this hit TV show to everyone for free. The promo will start at 12:01 PT this Friday April 17th and end 24 hours later as Saturday creeps in.

Orphan Black is rated 8.5 out of 10 stars at IMDB. Its premiss is as follows:

…Sarah, an outsider and orphan whose life changes dramatically after witnessing the suicide of a woman, Beth, who looks just like her. While trying to find out more about a woman who looks just like her, Sarah takes her identity, her boyfriend and her money. But instead of solving her problems, the street-smart chameleon is thrust headlong into a kaleidoscopic mystery. She makes the dizzying discovery that she and the dead woman are clones… but are they the only ones? Sarah quickly finds herself caught in the middle of a deadly conspiracy, racing to find answers.

Season two of Orphan Black is currently available on Amazon, while season three is scheduled to premier on Saturday April 18.

If you end up getting into Orphan Black during this free streaming session and aren’t a Prime member, then you should just sign-up for a free trial to gain access to season two. Already used your free trial? Just sign-up for a regular Prime membership. It’s $99 per year but in my opinion is absolutely worth it — you’ll get free 2-day shipping, unlimited cloud storage for all of your photos, free streaming of movies/TV shows and more.
