Marvel’s updated plans for phase three of its cinematic universe + comicbook goodies

Marvel’s Phase 3 has yet to begin but it’s already getting schedule changes. Today the studio announced that Ant Man will get a sequel with a release date of July 6, 2018.

Following our hero’s debut adventure in this summer’s “Ant-Man,” Scott Lang will return alongside Hope Van Dyne on July 6, 2018 with Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp.” The sequel will mark the first Marvel Studios film named after its heroine.

The film will now occupy the release slot originally taken by Black Panther, which has now moved forward to February 16, 2018. Then the Captain Marvel movie will shift from November of that year to March 2019.
