The gorgeous looking, nature-sim/world-builder is usually listed at $2.99 and hasn’t gone free since it appeared as the App Store Free App of the Week back in May. Apple selected it as part of its “App Store Best of 2014” list and it has 4 star ratings from over 650 reviewers.

Today in gaming, AVP: Evolution goes free for iOS again, Sony has released its PlayStation companion app for Android and iOS devices, and head below to check out today’s free games and apps.

The PlayStation App brings an extended feature set for the PS4 starting Friday when the new console launches, including a screen-based keyboard, second screen like functionality for certain games like Microsoft’s Smart Glass and the ability to download digital PSN content directly to the the PS4. Before the new console releases (or for those who will be sticking with the PS3 for now) the PS app will allow you to chat with your friend list and browse player profiles, trophies and the PS Store. The new app is available for free for iOS and Android starting today.

Rovio has now released the official gameplay trailer (above) for its upcoming Mario Kart-like Angry Birds game, Angry Birds Go! All of the series’ main characters will be making an appearance, each with their own special ability from the other Angry Birds titles.
