Borderlands 2 Stories January 20, 2015

Some may have been disappointed when Gearbox announced the latest entry to the Borderlands series was coming in the form of The Pre-Sequel and only for last gen consoles, but today the company has unveiled the start of its next gen plans.

While not the brand new Borderlands game you were hoping for, the folks at Gearbox have announced a next gen version of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The-Pre Sequel coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with the new Handsome Collection. This edition will also pack in the massive list of add-on DLC content for both titles (full list below).

Along with some cool new enhancements like updated visuals and 4-way couch co-op, we are also getting the Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition which brings the series’ titular character to life like never before…

Borderlands 2 Stories October 18, 2013

Update: It looks as though GameStop has made some slight revisions since its Black Friday flyer originally leaked. Most notably, Battlefield 4 will be available for $25, when the store opens at 12:01 am Nov 29.

It looks as though the November deal season is coming a little early this year. GameStop’s Black Friday deals have leaked and look to be bringing some deep discounts on games, console bundles and accessories.

All 12 pages of GameStop’s Black Friday flyer have leaked with sales beginning November 29 at midnight. Some of the highlights include Battlefield 4 for $30 $25, Assassin’s Creed IV for $40 and Call of Duty: Ghosts for $10 off. We’ll also see titles like Red Dead Redemption, Borderlands 2, and Skyrim, along with 2013 game of the year contender Bioshock Infinite at 50% off.

You’ll also be able to pick up Dishonored GOTY edition and Splinter Cell Blacklist on Xbox 360 and PS3 for $25 each. Even though Watch Dogs and Drive Club are mentioned in the listings, the flyer is likely subject to change as both titles were officially delayed until next year. While GameStop has officially confirmed the leak, there is a possibility these deals could change before the end of November.

As far as console bundles go, there’s a 250GB PS3 bundled with The Last of Us and Batman: Arkham Origins, along with a 250GB Xbox 360 that comes with Halo 4 and Tomb Raider, both priced at $200. That’s anywhere from $30 to $70 off compared to similar bundles.

Mac gaming aficionados Aspyr Media is releasing a much anticipated update to its Borderlands 2 Mac App Store title. Starting today, users will be able to install version 1.3.2 to get access to Mac vs Mac co-op multiplayer through Game Center, as well as 5 new downloadable content packs available via in-app purchase that include the 5th playable character– The Mechromancer.

To celebrate the update, Aspyr is currently offering Borderlands 2 for 50% off the Mac App Store, allowing Mac users to grab the game for $29.99 (Regular $59.99) for a limited time.
