Update (4/4 12:15pm): Trusted game dealer Antonline via eBay Daily Deals is offering Xbox One 1TB Elite Console Bundle for $399 shipped. That’s $100 under the orignal price, $45 below Amazon and the best we can find.

In today’s best game/app deals, Amazon is offering Far Cry Primal on PS4 and Xbox One for $44.99 shipped. It is also at Best Buy right now for the same price, with even deeper deals for GCU members. Regularly listed at $60, the is the lowest direct discount we have seen on the game since release from a trusted retailer. “Stone Age By Far Cry: Enter an open world sandbox filled with the unpredictable chaos and peril that the Award-winning Far Cry franchise is known for…Control Epic Beasts: Tame every predator and choose how you use their specific skills to slay your foes.”

Other notable deals include Disney Infinity: 3.0 Edition Starter Pack on Xbox One, PS4 and Wii U for $39.99 shipped (Reg. $50+, current lowest) and Bayonetta 2 (Single Disc) on Wii U has once again dropped to its lowest price ever at $20.70 Prime shipped (Reg. $30). 

We also have an interesting deal on Star Wars. While we have seen Star Wars Battlefront dip down to to between $30 and $38, Newegg is currently offering it on PS4 or Xbox One with a free rental of the new film Star Wars: The Force Awakens [Digital HD] for $39.99 plus $3 shipping. The digital rental is regular $17.99 and is available via FandangoNOW (Streaming Online Video and Digital Download).

In case you missed it last week, Final Fantasy XV got a new playable demo you can now download for free on PS4 and Xbox OnePrime members can still pre-order the main game for just $47.99 shipped before it hits on September 30th (same goes for the Deluxe version).

Final Fantasy XV gets a new playable demo, now available for free on PS4 and Xbox One

While you may have had a chance to play Final Fantasy XV with the Duscae demo as part of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Square has now released another quick taste of what to expect. In fact, this time around we are getting a completely standalone experience as opposed to a vertical slice directly from the upcoming game.

Final Fantasy II on iOS/Android available free inside the FF Portal app ($8 value)

Update (2/5 12:54pm):  If you’re having trouble finding the freebie: Load up the Final Fantasy Portal app, the go the Final Fantasy II page where you’l find a purchase button. This will essentially get you the game as a free in-app purchase for FF Portal, meaning you can play it in its entirety via the FF Portal app once the purchase has been made.

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Portal app is a free download on the App Store that comes with the latest info on everything Final Fantasy and more. The app also contains some free games like Triple Triad and the classic Final Fantasy (portal version), but every once in a while Square offers a regularly paid iOS app for free as a bonus. In celebration of the one year anniversary of Portal, you can now download Final Fantasy II for free from now until February 14th. Update (1/13 1:05pm): Amazon has now launched an official page for the promo, which appears to be as wide-ranging as we originally suggested while extended discounted periods until after the game has released by two weeks or so.

With the deep discounts Best Buy’s GCU program offers gamers, Amazon tends to launch its own video game pre-order bonuses and deals. Right now, the major retailer is offering its Prime members (free trial) a solid $12 discount, automatically applied in the cart, when purchasing any one of a massive list of yet-to-be-released titles. The promo is eligible on just about every $60 pre-order Amazon has to offer right now including highly anticipated PS4 and Xbox One releases like Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, The Legend of Zelda, Gears of War 4 and more: expand full story

In today’s best game/app deals, Amazon is offering Final Fantasy Type-0 HD on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $39.99 shipped as part of its Gold Box Deals of the Day today. Just recently released last month, Type-O is an HD remake of the original PSP title, but it ships with the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XV playable demo known as the Duscae episode. This is the lowest price we have seen for the Type-O/Duscae package yet.

We also have a couple notable Nintendo deals today including The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D on 3DS for $34.99 (Reg. $40, current low), as well as Hyrule Warriors on Wii U for $48.99 and Super Smash Brothers for Wii U for $44.96, both w/ free in-store pickup or free shipping on orders over $50 at Walmart (current lows).

The Mac Game Store has kicked off a pay what you want Humble Bundle-style promotion just recently.
