Buy a new smartphone (including iPhone 6/Plus) at Best Buy and get a free $150 or $200 gift card

(Update 2/27 6:36pm): Our apologies, this promo is only for new activations, not upgrades. The original draft of this post was incorrect.

Best Buy will give you a free $150 or $200 gift card when you activate a line with any new smartphone on Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint. You’ll need to do so using carrier installment plans: Verizon Edge, AT&T Next, or Sprint Easy Pay/Leasing — upgrades of any kind and of course, full-priced no-commitment smartphone purchases are not eligible for the gift card bonus.

AT&T and Verizon new line activations will yield a free $150 gift card, while Sprint will get you $200 (in-store only).

The promo covers a range of smartphones including iPhone 6/Plus (in-store pickup only), iPhone 5s/c, LG G2, HTC One M8, Nokia Lumia 1520, and several others.

expiredHTC One (M8) w/ 32 GB flash storage, 4G LTE, GSM (factory unlocked) $300 shipped (Reg. $499)

HTC’s current flagship One M8 smartphone is currently available from qualitycellz via eBay Daily Deals at a new low, shipped for $299. These usually retail around $500 ($499 at Newegg) or more (around $700 for the Developer Edition on Amazon), so this deal is going to knock at least $200 off the standard price. The HTC One M8, as you may know, comes packed with a Snapdragon 800 processor, 4G LTE connectivity, 32 GB of flash storage, 2 GB of RAM, and a 5-inch Full HD display.

Screen Shot 2014-06-05 at 11.06.57 AMLast week, Google, Amazon, and Sonos teamed up to offer 6 months free of Google Play All Access and a $50 Amazon credit with the purchases of a Sonos speaker. Now, Google is partnering with AT&T for another deal. Starting today, you will get $50 in Google Play credit when you purchase a qualifying Android smartphone from AT&T. The credit is valid towards anything in the Play Store, such as apps, movies, music, and TV.

Every Android device AT&T sells qualifies, while iPhones Windows Phones obviously do not. The deal is also valid with all of AT&T’s contract options, including two-year agreements and AT&T Next. The deal will run until July 17th and is available on AT&T’s website only, not in stores. A new line of service is required, as well.

AT&T is selling a variety of popular smartphones right now, including the HTC One M8, Moto X, and Galaxy S5. You can read more about this offer on AT&T’s website.

Today only: Buy a HTC One Android Smartphone starting at just $80 w/ a new 2 yr contract (AT&T / Sprint)

Update: Sold out!  Don’t miss out next time.  Follow 9to5Toys for all the latest deals… TwitterRSS FeedFacebook

Today only, Amazon is offering the lowest price ever for what many consider the best Android smartphone you can buy.  New AT&T and Sprint customers can get a HTC One for just $80, old customers renewing a previous contract can get one for just $100.  This is the first major, advertised sale we have seen on the AT&T version of this popular smart phone.

The HTC One is hailed for its gorgeous all aluminum design which is carved out from a solid block.  A process that apparently takes more than 3 hours.  The display is big and beautiful at 4.7 inches and a resolution of  1080p.  Further specs include a 1.7GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and storage options of 32GB or 64GB.  Gizmodo wasn’t shy in its recommendation of the HTC One

It’s simply one of the most exciting pieces of hardware we’ve seen in a long time, including the Galaxy S IV. As of this moment, the HTC One is looking like the best Android phone you’ll be able to buy for the foreseeable future.
