Last year, HTC released its Vive Pro VR headset. At CES 2019, the company is upping its game with the Vive Pro Eye. The Vive Pro brought dual OLED displays with high-end headphones built-in, which is something that hadn’t been done in mass market VR headsets prior to its release. The Vive Pro Eye broadens virtual reality horizons by introducing native eye tracking.

The world of virtual reality has been abuzz the past few years. With Oculus’ standalone Go headset, HTC’s Vive Focus, and PlayStation VR, plenty of companies are taking their own stab at making a mass market headset.

Shadow Creator, a Chinese company, is throwing their hat in the ring next week with its own Shadow VR headset. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor and offer a resolution of 2560 x 1440.

Today only, as part of its Gold Box Deals of the Day, BuySPRY’s official Amazon store (98% positive in the last 12 months from 2,400 ratings) is offering some notable deals on certified refurbished HTC Google Nexus 9 Tablets starting from $159.99 shipped for the 8.9-inch with Wi-Fi and 16GB of storage. That’s around 16% below the usual refurbished price on Amazon and the best we can find. For comparison, this model goes for $200 at Walmart in refurbished condition. Roughly 65% of reviewers have left a 4+ star rating.

HTC Stories June 7, 2016

Starting today, HTC’s Vive VR headset is available to purchase direct from HTC at in at least 24 countries with the device expected to ship to customers in the next 2-3 days. And it’s also being made available to preorder at select retail partners including Microsoft Stores, GameStop and Micro Center with those orders expected to arrive beginning sometime this week.

HTC originally launched preorders in February and started shipping in April, but until this week orders have been backed up and the company has been experiencing shipping delays and complaints from preorder customers.

Best Buy offering HTC’s RE camera accessory for $100 (Reg. $200)

Update (7/28 10:45am): HTC is now offering the HTC RE waterproof digital camera in multiple colors for $99.50 shipped (Reg. $115+, current lowest we can find).

Best Buy is offering HTC’s RE camera accessory for $99.99 shipped, down from its normal list price of $200. The $99.99 price point is the lowest we’ve seen since during a Black Friday deal when supply was very constrained. For those unfamiliar, the RE camera is a GoPro-like device that records point of view video, but does not have any sort of viewfinder.
