verizon fios triple play

Verizon Fios offers 100/100MB Data, Custom TV and Phone Triple Play plan now for $69.99 a month (The price is good for one year then it is subject to increase after that time). With it you get Internet with matching 100Mbps upload and download speeds, customizable TV and unlimited nationwide calling with features including voice mail, caller ID and call waiting. You can also choose to get it with no annual contract and as a limited time offer you get free installation ($80 value) but other fees may apply.

This is one of the best deals we’ve seen from Verizon and the free setup is a huge bonus. Typically, we would expect a plan like this to be upwards of $100 a month, especially for such high transfer speeds.

You can start by checking to see if there is service in your area with this location map and then you can begin looking at the package best for you.

sling-chromecast-free-trial

Chromecast and Sling TV have partnered to offer an extended two month free trial of the online streaming service ($40 value). First time Sling customers with a Chromecast have until December 28th to grab a 60-day free peak at the Best of Live TV package. Simply visit this page to begin your trial. You’ll want to cancel the service before the two months is up, otherwise you’ll be charged $20 for the next month.

Typically, Sling only offers a 7-day trial, so if you’ve been holding out on trying this service, now is your best bet to give it a run. Offer does not include any extras or HBO service. Full terms and condition can be found below.

Sling TV launched last January to much fanfare as an alternative to pricey cable and satellite services. It offers popular channels like ESPN/2, AMC, TBS, TNT, HGTV and others. Additionally, it has a number of add-on packages for those interested in premium channels like HBO. Packages start at $20 with more channels available for as little as $5.

The latest Google Chromecast is available for $30 at Walmart (Reg. $35). New users can take advantage of a handful of freebies, including a $20 Google Play credit that is available through the end of the year.

If you would rather keep snoopers and government spooks out of your browsing history, Private Internet Access VPN offers comprehensive protection. 9to5Toys Specials has two-year subscriptions for $59.

This service masks your IP address by routing your browsing traffic via a specialized server, making it virtually impossible for anyone to track you online. Installation is a one-click process, and there is support on offer if required. With the VPN switched on, unwanted connections are filtered out, and your location is also disguised, meaning you can access geo-restricted content (e.g. Netflix, Skype). There are over 2,900 servers to choose from, scattered across 20 countries, and your data is encrypted with the Blowfish CBC algorithm. This subscription covers any five Windows, OS X, iOS and Android devices you own, with unlimited bandwidth.

Grab the deal to save 24% on a two-year subscription.

If you think Public Wi-Fi is secure, you’re playing with serious data-risk fire. That is, unless you use a virtual private network to secure your information, such as TigerVPN. 9to5Toys Specials is now offering a lifetime subscription for just $29.

By routing your traffic via intermediary servers, TigerVPN disguises your identity from would-be attackers, and the service gives you 15 nodes to choose from. This means you can select the fastest route, but it also gives you access to region-locked content (e.g. Netflix, Skype). Bandwidth is unrestricted, and the 10Gbps servers are designed to minimize lag. For added protection, there is the option to use 256-bit SSL encryption with a choice of protocols, PPTP, L2TP and OpenVPN. TigerVPN has mobile apps to keep you secure on the go, as well.

  • Top-notch security with 256-bit SSL encryption
  • Includes 10Gbps servers optimized to limit latency globally
  • Offers access to 15 nodes: Amsterdam, Atlanta, Bucharest, Copenhagen, Denver, Frankfurt, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Miami, Montreal, New York, Toronto, Vienna, and Zurich
  • No limit on data
  • Bandwidth health detection maintains performance at peak times
  • Includes easy-to-use mobile apps
  • Choice of encryption protocol – PPTP, L2TP, OpenVPN, etc.

The deal takes 96% off the price of a lifetime subscription (normally $790). Head over to 9to5Toys Specials to grab it for $29.
