One of the best RPGs of all-time just went 50% off on iOS: Secret of Mana $4 (Reg. $8)

The Square Enix Super Nintendo classic, Secret of Mana, has now dropped to $3.99 on iOS. Easily one of the most cherished JRPGs of its day, Square has even added in some additional functionality, as well as menu upgrades and more. This is matching the lowest price we have seen for the iOS of version, which only goes on sale a few times a year. It has a 4+ star rating from nearly 1,000 gamers.

Apple has now handpicked Give It Up! 2 as the App Store’s new Free App of the Week. The rhythm based platformer usually sells for $1 and has now gone free for the first time since its release back in October 2015. While fairly light on reviews, it is the sequel to the 4+ star rated (from nearly 2.500 gamers) original: Give It Up!.

Some of the best tower defense games for iOS are on sale today: Kingdom Rush Frontiers & Origins from $1, more

Ironhide’s Kingdom Rush titles are easily some of the best tower defense experiences on iOS. Today three of its popular titles went on sale at notable prices starting with Kingdom Rush Frontiers for $1. Usually selling for $3, this is the lowest price we have tracked on the App Store since the last time it dropped to $1 back in December 2015. All three titles on sale today combine for a 4+ star rating from over 15,000 gamers.

Side-scrolling adventure/beat’em up AngerOfStick2 for iOS has now gone free. Regularly priced at $1, this is the first time we have seen the game go free in about a year and half (December 2014). It carries a stellar 4+ star rating form over 41,000 gamers.

From the creators of the Angry Birds franchise, Bad Piggies brings the same charm and humor as its feathery contemporary but with an interesting contraption building mechanic. And it is now available for free on iPhone and iPad. Regularly listed at $1 each, we haven’t seen either version go free directly on the App Store since 2013.

You can now grab WWE 2K for just $1 on iOS. 2K usually sells it for $7.99 and this is the first time we have seen it drop this low directly on the App Store. It has a 4+ star rating from over 1,400 gamers. 2K is also offering this same deal to Android users over in the Google Play Store as well.

Developer State of Play games is now offering its unique and well rated iOS puzzler KAMI for free in celebration of the release of company’s latest title: INKS. KAMI is an interesting Japanese-influenced paper puzzle game that has thus far received great reviews and has never gone directly free on the App Store before today.

Transistor action-RPG for iOS once again matching its lowest price yet: $3 (Reg. $10)

After the popular True Skate went free this morning, another fantastic iOS game is seeing a nice price drop. Supergiant Games have been responsible for some amazing titles including Bastion and today’s feature: Transistor. The unique action-RPG is once again available for $2.99 on the App Store, matching the lowest price we have ever tracked and our previous mention. This is only the second time the game has dropped below its regular $10 price tag this year.

Call of Duty iOS titles matching all-time lows: Strike Team $2 (Reg. $7), Zombies $1 (Reg. $5), more

We spotted a few notable deals this morning on Call of Duty iOS titles. First up is Call of Duty Strike Team for $2. Regular $7, this is matching the lowest we have seen the game go for directly on the App Store since its release back in September of 2013. Featuring a unique blend of both first person and third person action, the game has amassed a 4+ star rating from nearly 8,500 gamers.

Alto’s Adventure for iOS now matching its lowest price ever: $1 (Reg. $3)

Alto’s Adventure for iOS is has now dropped down to just $1. It usually goes for $2.99 and we haven’t seen it this low since late last year. This is also matching the lowest price we have ever tracked directly on the App Store. Available for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple TV, the game follows “Alto and his friends as they embark on an endless snowboarding odyssey. Journey across the beautiful alpine hills of their native wilderness, through neighboring villages, ancient woodlands, and long-abandoned ruins.” It was selected as part of Apple’s “Best of 2015” and “15 Most Beautiful Games”.

Update (4/15 9:15am): Frogmind has now put the original BADLAND on sale for $1 (Reg. $3), which is also matching the lowest price ever.

Developer Frogmind has now put BADLAND 2 on sale for $1.99. It regularly sells for $5 and this is only the second time we have seen the game dip down this low since its release.

Brothers A Tale of Two Sons iOS puzzle-adventure game gets its first price drop: $2 (Reg. $5)

The critically acclaimed Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons from 505 Games is now available for just $1.99 on the App Store. Regularly listed at $5, this is the very first time the game has been discounted for iOS.

While its ratings are somewhat mixed at 3.5/5 stars from over 230 gamers, keep in mind the game received rave reviews on release and most of the complaints appear to be surrounding particular technical issues. The game features interesting puzzle and adventure elements along with a story that had some reviewers “moved to tears.”

The creators of Bastion, Super Giant Games, has now put one of its other excellent titles on sale. Transistor for iOS can now be downloaded for just $2.99, down from its usual $9.99 selling price. This is the very first time this year the game has dipped down below full price and is now matching the all-time lowest total we have tracked. The game’s interesting take on a strategic RPG with action elements and interesting environments earned it a spot on Apple’s “App Store Best of 2015 Selection.”
