The iPhone HoverDock holds your phone upright using only the connector from your regular charging cable, which means you can continue to use your handset while it is charging. Because the dock does not obstruct any of the screen, it is compatible with most cases. The beautiful aluminum base is sturdy, with internal storage for the charging cable. On the underside, a rubber mat prevents slipping and scratching. The Apple Watch version is largely identical, except it is designed to work with Apple’s Magnetic Charging Cable. Once again, the screen is held upright so you can see incoming notifications, and the dock is compatible with Nightstand mode.

However, you should still take a look at the numerous third party options (below) that have been on the market for years. Many of these options offer more styling and better value compared to Apple’s dock.
If you were one of over 4 million people who preordered an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus this weekend, then you may have noticed that one of Apple’s most popular accessories for previous gen iPhones is curiously absent from its online store.
