Update: now $6.25 which is still a great deal

Amazon via Pangea sells Apple Certified 5-foot Lightning cables for just $6.25 shipped. That’s a great price on colorful Lightning cables 2 feet longer than Apple’s,  produced with Apple’s Lightning chips.

Pangea Lightning cables are an extra-long 5-feet in length—42% longer than Apple’s standard Lightning cable—and feature superior shielding, robust 27-gauge signal conductors, heavy-duty 21-gauge power conductors and Apple’s newest, thinnest C48 Lightning connector on one end, with a USB ‘A’ connector on the other end. Pangea has utilized high-grade copper, with wire gauges that are significantly thicker than a typical Apple-type cable in order to deliver accurate signal and steady power despite the longer cable length. Five available colors (Black, Blue, Green, Pink, or White) are designed to match your iPhone, iPad Mini or other Apple device.

“Pangea’s Lightning cables offer a no-compromise design and the convenience of a longer cable length all at a very affordable price,” explained Pangea cable designer Jay Victor. “The easy-grip molded connectors and durable cable cover make our solution ideal for everyday use, and we have added a touch of elegance to these Lightning cables by carefully matching Apple’s 5-shade color palette,” concluded Victor. MSRP for the Pangea Lightning cables is $29.95 however they are available now from AudioAdvisor.com and Amazon at the low introductory price of $19.95.

Sometimes it is hard to be definitive on “Best of” products. On car chargers, it now isn’t. I’ve been using the Aukey Quad-port car charger for a few weeks and it is the most powerful, most solid, has the most ports and is one of the smallest I’ve tried. It also holds up well after multiple insertions and removals and it looks as good as a car charger is going to get. It also has a chip inside that not only knows how much charge to deliver to each port, but it also knows when the charge is complete and will shut down.

We’re talking no-brainer territory here.

Even if you have USB ports in your car, they likely don’t quick charge iPhone 6s s and iPads. This one does. Up to 4 of them at a time via the 48W/9.6A total output.

Amazon is currently offering the Aukey Quad-port car charger for $16.99 with free Prime shipping. That’s 66% off!

Oh, and as sad as it is for me, I’ll send this slightly used demo unit to someone who shares 9to5toys/this post on social media or signs up for our newsletter (US only).

expiredJBL OnBeat Lightning iPhone 5/5s/5c or 6/6 Plus speaker dock (refurb): $15 shipped ($104 off)

Update (10/17 7:45am): Back in stock!

The Harman Store offers the OnBeat Lightning Speaker dock for $15 with free ground shipping. That’s $104 off retail and the lowest price we’ve seen it. It is $4 less than an Apple Lightning Cable at Retail Price!

(Meh.com has been offering the new ones for $15+$5 shipping). We reviewed this last year and found the speaker to be pleasant sounding and the dock to be a convenient way to store the iPhone on a bookshelf or night stand. It also has 4 AA slots below if you want to take the charging/sound on the road and also has a 3.5mm stereo input jack and a USB port, which allows for the simultaneous charging of two devices at once when plugged into an outlet.

Upgrade your iPhone 5 with JBL® sound. If you’ve got an iPhone 5, you’ve got to get the JBL OnBeat Micro. With the new Lightning dock connector built in, the JBL OnBeat Micro lets you enjoy your music without wires or adapters, and even has a USB port for compatibility with other devices. Compact and portable, the JBL OnBeat Micro can bring the noise from ceiling to floor for up to 5 hours when it’s using batteries and allows you to charge your docked device when it’s using AC power. The JBL OnBeat Micro is good to go whenever the rhythm hits you.

Amazon reviewers agree, giving it 4/5 stars.

Note, that Harman says it is for the iPhone 5 or 5s but I’ve personally used it to charge an iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and it works perfectly (also iPhone 5c works as well as well as Lightning iPods).  iPads unfortunately don’t fit
