expiredBack to the Future Day is Today! So how are you celebrating? #BTTF2015

Update 10/21 11AM:

Wednesday, October 21, 2015 (that’s today!) is the precise day in the future Doc and Marty travel to in the 2nd Back to the Future film. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the first film release. So, How far have we come in that time? No flying cars yet, but a closer look reveals some other predictions weren’t far off: Video conferencing, Google Glass, hover boards, self tying shoes, 3D movies to name a few.

More importantly, how will you be celebrating Back to the Future Day? Maybe you’ll kick back and relax to the Back to the Future trilogy which is streaming from Amazon Prime for free, or you can own the 30th anniversary Blu-ray for $30. Or maybe you’ll pick up the newly released collectors item Back to the Future: The Ultimate Visual History for $30 hardcover or $18 Kindle edition. You could always browse the ThinkGeek collection of BTTF knick knacks.

expiredAmazon Gold Box – Up to 65% off Complete TV Series: Family Ties $100, Beverly Hills 90210 $125, more

One of the Amazon Gold Box Deals of the Day is up to 65% off classic TV Show Box sets. My pick from this selection would have to be the Collectors Edition of Family Ties on DVD for $99.99. If you’re too young to remember, it was Michael J. Fox’s break through roll as Alex P. Keaton (also the role that landed him the Back to the Future trilogy) and the series aired from 1982-1989. The collectors edition includes an episode guide for every episode and has pictures of the cast and crew throughout the show.

Here are the other TV series on sale at Amazon today:

Speaking of the Back to the Future trilogy, commemorating the 30th anniversary of its release, all three films from the trilogy are being re-released on Blu-ray and DVD. The collection also features all 26 episodes of Back to the Future: The Animated Series, as well as a 64-page book titled Back to the Future: A Visual History, with collectible light-up flux capacitor packaging. You can pre-order the complete trilogy for $69.99 from Best Buy. That’s $20 less than our previous mention in July and the lowest we’ve seen.

You can also stream the trilogy from Amazon Prime.

Evidently over-the-top movie inspired car iPhone cases are all the rage right now. We already spotted a Batmobile look-alike and today we’ve come across a Delorean iPhone case that would make Doc Brown jealous. Much like Marty McFly’s Nikes, Crazy Case has spared no details with this replica, even including lights and wires that light up when a call comes in. The price isn’t too bad either but getting ahold of one may be the difficult part…

Head below for a video, pricing and how to get it here in the States.
