Nintendo announces official 2DS handheld price drop + new Monster Hunter Generations LE 3DS, more

Update (5/12 3:45pm): GameStop is now offering pre-orders for the Nintendo New 3DS XL – Monster Hunter Generations Edition at $199.99 shipped.

Nintendo has now announced another official price drop coming to its popular 2DS. Nintendo’s entry-level handheld was already one of the most affordable ways to play what might be the best line-up of mobile games on the planet (all the 3DS games/more), and now starting May 20th it’s going to be even less.

Regularly listed at $30, this is matching the lowest price we have seen the game go for directly on the Mac App Store and the best price we can find. While we have seen it dip down lower, Tomb Raider Underworld has also dropped down to $9.99 (Reg. $20, current best price) this morning.

That’s $20 under the orignal price, $5 below Amazon and the best we can find. Keep in mind, we did see it hit $35 for one day on Amazon. Speaking of Tom Clancy, The Division released yesterday and is still available for $47.99 shipped on Amazon for Prime members.
