Moto X Stories April 22, 2016

Way back in December, Motorola launched a limited edition series of Moto X Pure phones in partnership with renowned designer, Jonathan Adler. They had all the same great specs and features of the regular 32GB Moto X Pure, except they had an awesome unique design on the back.

The only issue was Motorola opted to sell them at a premium. Now, that premium has gone, and you can pick one up for $175 less than the original price.

expiredBuy a Moto X Pure Edition 64GB for $500, get a free first gen. Moto 360 ($200 value)

Moto X Pure Edition is one of the best phones that launched last year, and now you have even more reason to buy one. Just last month we gave it a “3 months later” second look (spoiler: we still think it’s great), but Motorola wants to make the deal even sweeter with a free Moto 360 Android Wear watch

Best Buy offers the 2nd generation Moto X 16GB (unlocked) smartphone in black for $242.99 shipped, which is $57 below its retail price and the lowest price we could find for a brand new model. If you’re looking for its cheaper little brother, though, B&H offers the 2nd generation Moto G 8GB (unlocked) smartphone in black for $99.99 shipped w/ a free Belkin PowerHouse microUSB dock. That’s a savings of $95 compared to what these items would cost at retail…

Motorola offering $100 discount when you purchase new Moto X Pure and Moto 360 together

Running up to the holidays, Motorola was offering some great discounts on its older Android and Android Wear products. Sadly, those same deals didn’t apply to the newer and rather fantastic Moto X Pure and Moto 360 from 2015. That changes this month, as the Lenovo-owned company begins offering money off for customers buying both products together.

Anyone buying the new Moto X Pure Edition (2015) and 2nd gen Moto 360 together will get $100 off at checkout. There’s no promo code to remember, just add the two products to your basket at Motorola.com in the US and the discount applies automatically. That means a package deal combining the two devices will cost you $599 for the base models, rather than the usual $699. Of course, adding extra storage to your phone or choosing a more premium material for the phone’s back or the Moto 360’s watch strap will cost extra. This promotion includes free shipping.

Currently, Amazon sells the Moto 360 and Moto X Pure Edition (2015) at their full $299 and $399 respective price tags. As do eBay and B&H Photo Video.

This is the first time we’ve seen either of the new products with a significant discount anywhere in the US. The deal is available until January 12th, 10:59 Central Time.

expiredMoto X (2014) unlocked 32GB for $350 (Reg. $550), 64GB: $375 (Reg. $600)

The Moto X (2014) is still widely regarded as one of the best Android phones on the market (even after the announcement and release of most of the early 2015 flagships). And now, Motorola is offering a great deal on its current-generation flagship via its own website. You can get the unlocked 32 GB model for as low as $349.99 ($200 off), while an upgrade to 64 GB of storage will bring you to $374.99 ($225 off).

expiredMoto X (2nd gen) Pure Edition today only from Motorola $360 shipped (Reg. $500)

Update: It looks like there’s also a $50 discount across the board for the Moto 360. You can grab the leather model with a 22mm band for $199 or make a custom one with a steel band for the usual $50 premium. There aren’t any details we could find on Motorola’s site for this deal, so there’s no telling how long it will last.

Motorola is offering a brand new unlocked “Pure Edition” Moto X via its online store at a new low of $359.99—for one day only. We are very fond of the phone, and found it to be one of the best—if not the best—Android flagships to be released in 2014. And one of its most attractive features is that you can design it however you’d like via the MotoMaker

Moto X Stories February 3, 2015

Yesterday Motorola was offering up codes to make this an even sweeter deal, but the Lenovo-owned company is today giving some nice cash back to those who spend more than $249.99 on their website. Spending between $249.99 and $499.99 will score you $35 off your entire purchase, while spending more than $499.99 will get you a whopping $100 off. expand full story

Moto X Stories June 4, 2014

Initially announced on Twitter, Motorola is offering $100 off a no-contract 32GB Moto X from now through Thursday at midnight. You can redeem the discount via Motorola’s Moto Maker tool where you can customize various elements of your phone.

Your total will come out to $349.99 on all but Republic Wireless where you’ll find a $299.99 price tag. This specific version usually runs about $499, so this is a pretty decent drop for those wanting to get their hands on the KitKat-powered smartphone.

Moto X Stories April 29, 2014

Update (5/2 11:15am): The deal is now over from Motorola, but now Amazon has dropped their price down to $299.99 for a 16GB factory unlocked model.

Update (5/1 9:30am): The deal is now live at motorola.com.

Just last week, select Moto X variants started to receive price drops to $349 and $399 for 16GB and 32GB respectively, but now the company is looking to further discount all models of the device. Starting on May 1 at 12:01AM ET and running for 24 hours, the 16GB Moto X will cost just $299. The 32GB and Developer editions will receive an even steeper price cut, from $399 down to $324.99.

It’s unclear how many units Motorola will sell at this price, or if it will simply run the entire day. You also have to keep in mind that Motorola has promised a new flagship by late-Summer. But if you’ve been waiting for your chance to snag one of the best Android smartphones out there, this is your opportunity.

Let’s just hope this sale goes better than Moto’s Cyber Monday catastrophe

Moto-X-discount-Verizon

If you happened to miss out on that recent Valentine’s Day sale from Motorola, the company announced on Twitter that it’s offering the Moto X for 1 cent on contract through Verizon or $70 off unlocked. That means you can pick up the 16GB Moto X customized through Moto Maker starting at $329 off contract. The penny deal will require you to sign up to a two-year contract through Verizon, and an additional $50 on either of the deals will bump you up from the 16GB to the 32GB model.

An even better deal is available through Amazon, however, with an additional $100 bill credit for those activating a new Verizon line on-contract. You might also be able to take advantage of that bill credit through Moto Maker for devices activated on Verizon, but there’s no mention of the offer on the site.  expand full story

Motorola has just announced via its Twitter account that it will be offering the Moto X without contract for $100 off on January 27th. The deal will apply to any Moto X, meaning that the 16GB will run just $299 and the 32GB will cost $349. The catch, however, is that the deal will only run for one hour and “while supplies last.” The offer will be available from 3PM ET to 4PM ET on the 27th of January.

Motorola also notes that, until Valentine’s Day (February 14th), the Moto X will be available for $70 off, should you miss out on the $100 off offer. That means that the 16GB model will be available for $330 and the 32GB for $380 It looks like that offer will kick in after the $100 off deal sells out on the 27th.

These are certainly amazing deals. Let’s just hope that these sales go better than the Cyber Monday deal the company attempted to hold…
