Golf sensors are by no means a new addition to the world of sporting goods. We’ve seen other models that offer smartphone connected tracking in a variety of ways. Today, a new option is entering the fray that attempts to paint a clear picture of your game.

The PIQ golf sensor blends Bluetooth, GPS, motion sensors and NFC together with the idea of providing more data than has been offered before. It’s an improved design in comparison to the competition with 18 tags that use NFC to identify individual clubs when you take them out of the bag. But it’s all of the data that it collects that really makes PIQ a stand out.  expand full story

For some reason I thought moving from Florida to the Northeast in January wouldn’t be a big deal. That might have been the case any other year, but not in 2015. We’ve gotten slammed with feet of snow, sub-zero temperatures, and blistering winds. Suffice to say, my Reef sandals and Lululemon shorts weren’t keeping me warm.

The best decision I’ve made since moving was buying a Patagonia Down Sweater Jacket. It’s filled with goose down, isn’t super puffy, and keeps me toasty warm. I absolutely love it. Patagonia doesn’t put its clothing on sale too often, however the company just kicked off a sale event with discounts up to 50%. There’s still a ton of winter left to go, so bundle up with some Patagonia.

Popular colors/sizes are beginning to sell out, so jump on your favorites now. All orders of $75 or more ship free. Use small items like socks and beanies to pad your order.

Multi-tools are a must have for any Wilderness Explorer. The problem is that they aren’t any good if you forget it or in the case of Leatherman’s President, Ben Rivera, it gets you denied from the happiest place on earth. But this summer these issues will be a thing of the past. From afar, the Leatherman Tread looks like a beefed up metal watch band. Look a bit closer and you’ll notice that each link is actually a functional tool. It includes a cutting hook, screwdrivers, box wrenches, glass breaker, and a bottle opener. There are 25 tools in all. It’s even TSA-compliant.

To add even more functionality, while making the Tread appear more inconspicuous, Leatherman will also sell a version with a Swiss-made timepiece.

Pricing is set to start at around $150. Too much moola for ya? The best selling Leatherman Multi-tool on Amazon checks in at less than $30.
