Retro gaming has made a serious comeback in recent years as iOS and Android have both seen re-dos of popular titles, as well as Nintendo’s massive throwback library on Wii U. It’s no surprise that classics like Space Invaders, Pong, and Asteroids have stood the test of time. These games were a genius mix of fun and ingenuity when they were released and still have a loyal following today.

A child of the 80’s by the name of Ken Burns (no not that one), recently launched one of the coolest retro gaming projects that we have seen on Kickstarter. But instead of using a television set or PC, he has shruken an arcade cabinet down to the size of your fingertips. Tiny Arcade brings takes all the joy of coin-operated gaming and transforms it into a modern day portable toy. Head below for more.

Update (12/31 1:30pm): In today’s best game/app deals, an Xbox One download of Sega’s Alien Isolation, widely acclaimed as the best video game ever based on the Alien movie franchise, is now only $30 at the Xbox Store, a 50% discount off the normal price; used disc copies can be had for $37. The Xbox Store is also selling the Alien Isolation Season Pass with five additional add-on packs for $15 (Reg. $30) for a limited time, while the Microsoft Store is offering a full-disc Xbox One version of Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs for only $20 (Reg. $60).

As time winds down on the official Xbox One price drop (you have until Saturday), Newegg has popped up with an interesting bundle option. While we are still seeing the $350 AC: Unity bundle w/ $50 gift cards attached at Amazon and Best Buy, among others, Newegg is offering the same bundle with a 12-month Xbox Live Gold membership and one free extra Xbox One controller for $349.99. The $50 GC might be more valuable to those not interested in a second controller, but this is technically the best value for your money available with the up to $120 worth of free goodies.
