expiredGaming apparel/collectibles 20% off: Fallout 4 hoodies $48, official PlayStation gear from $10, more

With gaming expo PAX Prime 2015 set to kick off tomorrow in Seattle, we are seeing a few notable promotions on gaming related apparel, art, accessories and other collectibles and merchandise.

The official Bethesda Store is offering 20% off for PAX Prime on Fallout, Doom, Dishonored, and Elder Scrolls apparel and collectibles. Most notably the new Fallout 4 hoodies are on sale as well starting at $48 (Reg. $60). Shipping varies from about $6. Not often do we see sales on official gaming apparel like this and you don’t generally find the same designs from other retailers, official or not. In most cases, it gets turned around on eBay for double the price.

When it comes to the official Fallout 4 guides, you’re still better off on Amazon: The Fallout 4 Vault Dweller’s Survival Guide (pre-order) is $25.34 Prime shipped (Reg. $40) and The Art of Fallout 4 hardcover book (pre-order) $28.06 Prime shipped (Reg. $35).

The official PlayStation Store is offering 20% off on a large selection on items from now through September 1st. The t-shirts start at $9.99 (Reg. $20), and Men’s hoodies at $48 (Reg. $60), along with other smaller accessories, bags and statues. Shipping varies by location at around $6.50. The Last of Us Firefly Hoodie and the PlayStation Symbols Tech jacket at $48 each (Reg. $60) are both standouts.

Lastly, for all you Mass Effect and Dragon Age fans out there, BioWare is also getting in on the action with its own 20% off sale for PAX. From apparel to bags, coffee mugs and action figures, just about everything is on sale. And again, shipping varies by location.

expiredGames/Apps: Hitman Go $1 (Reg. $5), Super Smash Bros. for Wii U $45 (Reg. $60), TurboScan $1 (Reg. $3), freebies, more

In today’s best game/app deals, Square Enix has dropped the price of Hitman Go from $5 down to $1 in celebration of its one year anniversary. The highly rated board game-style version of the long running console series hasn’t been this low since the holiday season last year and has only been lower once as the IGN free game of the month back in September 2014. It has received a 4.5 star rating from 5,681 reviewers. Android users can also grab the highly rated puzzle game on Google Play for $1.

Hitman GO is an award-winning turn-based strategy game with beautifully rendered diorama-style set pieces. You will strategically navigate fixed spaces on a grid to avoid enemies and take out your target or infiltrate well-guarded locations.

Xbox One AC Unity bundle w/ Halo MCC & 3-months Live $350, PS4 w/ Last of Us & 2 games $399 ($70+ in savings)

On top of the day’s best game and app deals, we have a couple notable console bundles on sale for both the PlayStation and Xbox crowds. Newegg via eBay Daily Deals is offering the Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity bundle with the Halo Master Chief Collection and 3 months of Xbox Live Gold attached for $349.99 shipped. This is the best current value available on Xbox One, considering most retailers charge this price without the 3 months of Live ($17+ value) and without the extra game ($40 value).

Next up, Walmart is offering The Last of Us PlayStation 4 bundle with two additional games today (Destiny, Watch Dogs, Shadow of Mordor, Need for Speed: Rivals + many other choices) for $399 shipped. While maybe not as desirable for some as the recent Bloodborne bundle simply due to the game’s recent release, today’s deal is the best current value available and is as much as $70+ in savings considering the value of the two additional games.

Be sure to take a peak at the recently revealed Limited Edition Batman: Arkham Knight PlayStation 4 and this month’s freebies from Sony and Microsoft. In case you missed it this morning, we also spotted a brand new brawler from Nintendo’s mobile developer DeNA known as Marvel Mighty Heroes and one of our favorite image editors for Mac went 50% off.

expiredThis PlayStation 4 Bloodborne bundle includes 2 games, a gift card and is on sale for just $400

Console bundles put together by retailers are often a mixed bag. Most of the time they include one great item along with a bunch of random things you’d never buy otherwise (I’m looking at you GameStop), but sometimes they are actually packed with quality items at a discount. Those are the bundles we target. We saw Walmart step up this week with a great New Nintendo 3DS XL bundle and now Amazon is offering a quality PlayStation 4 bundle…

This bundle includes a 500GB PlayStation 4 console, a physical (disc) copy of Bloodborne, a digital copy of The Last of Us, and a $20 gift card for just $399.99 shipped. The Last of Us is often included with a PS4 console so we won’t include that in the bundle value, but the console itself sells for $400, Bloodborne is worth $60, and the gift card is, of course, worth $20. So you’re saving $80 or you could look at it as getting a free copy of Bloodborne and a free $20 to spend at Amazon. Either way, it’s a great value.

Most importantly, the bundle doesn’t include any crap. Bloodborne is a PS4 exclusive title that has been universally praised by critics and everyday gamers. If you have a PS4, you’re going to get this game anyways so you might as well get it for “free” with this bundle.

PlayStation 4 console w/ The Last of Us + free PSTV $400 shipped (Reg. $470+)

A few interesting gaming console deals surfaced over the weekend including some of the best values we’ve seen on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 since Black Friday. Amazon is offering a new exclusive Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity bundle with an extra wireless controller (Reg. $54+) and Wolfenstein The New Order (Reg. $40) for $349 shipped ($443+ value). This is the current best deal available considering the nearly $100 in value added with the additional controller and game.

As for PlayStation, Best Buy is offering a brand new PS4 with The Last of Us, $5 off 1 yr. of PlayStation Plus and a free PlayStation TV for $399.99 shipped. With the free $70+ PS TV thrown in, this is the best value available for Sony’s latest console and well under the deals currently available from Amazon and other retailers.
