Rise of the Tomb Raider Collector’s Edition features a 1-foot Lara statue, replica journal and more

Square Enix has now dropped the details on the Rise of the Tomb Raider Collector’s Edition for Xbox One. Set for release on November 10th, Rise of the Tomb Raider will take players though the remote regions of Siberia and beyond to uncover an ancient mystery surrounding immortality. It looks like we’ll be doing a lot more actual tomb raiding this time around, and now we have the full details of what to expect from the Collector’s Edition:

Along with the usual SteelBook cover and main game, you can expect a 12-inch tall statue of Lara in her climbing gear, a replica of Lara’s in-game journal, her jade necklace and what appears to be a pretty sweet-looking wood crate box to carry it all.

The $150 special edition is exclusive to the online Square store and the official Tomb Raider shop at this point. GameStop, Amazon and other retailers have some nice pre-order bonuses along with the main game, but we have yet to see a special edition of sorts pop-up anywhere else.

Here’s an extended gameplay demo of Rise of the Tomb Raider in action:

More details from Square Enix:

Rise of the Tomb Raider Collector’s Edition is dedicated to the fans looking for meticulous detail and exclusive content created by the developers.

The Rise of the Tomb Raider Collector’s Edition Includes:

Full retail copy of Rise of the Tomb Raider12”-tall statue of Lara Croft, which depicts her searching for answers on her first Tomb Raiding Expedition. Collectible Steel Case, crafted with the symbol of an artifact. A replica of Lara’s leather in-game journal. A model of Lara’s Jade Necklace, including the pendant that was her first archeological discovery, and the strap that was given to her by Conrad Roth, her late mentor.

Sony digital game sale: Tomb Raider DE $15, Rayman Legends $20, Batman Arkham titles from $8 ea, more

Update (6/16 4:57pm): If you spend more than $100 using your PSN Wallet on PSN from now through June 23rd, you will get $15 in free credit on your account.

Following Xbox and Nintendo, Sony has kicked off its own digital sale in celebration of E3 2015. There is a wide selection of PS4, PS3, Vita and cross-buy PSN titles available.

One standout from the lot is the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for $15 (Reg. $30). This game very rarely dips below $20 for the physical version and is 50% off its usual PSN listing. Another option is Rayman Legends on PS4 (or PS3) for $20, which rarely goes for less then $25 in physical form. You’ll also find the entire Batman Arkham series starting at $8 each, all less than the current price of the physical version.

Unless you prefer the digital copy, it always a good idea to check our daily Game/Apps roundup before purchasing as you may find some titles for less. Dragon Age Inquisition is $30 Prime shipped today on Amazon, $5 less than in the PSN sale, but rarely dips below $40 otherwise.

More E3 2015:

It has already been an eventful week at E3, with Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo showing off the latest titles and hardware advances to be expected over the next 6-8 months. Microsoft made a huge splash yesterday with new games and a killer updated controller that would make even James Bond jealous.

Regardless of which side of the console wars you’re on, or if you are undecided, the Xbox One deserves a second look. Microsoft has rebounded from a tough start to the year with some killer titles coming by Christmas and has pushed itself out in front of the PlayStation 4 as a dominant streaming media player. On top of that, the deal machine has been cranking out solid discounts on some of Microsoft’s flagship bundles. Now is the time to get on board with Xbox One if you’ve been waiting… expand full story

Here’s a look at the new Lara Croft: Relic Run title for iOS and Android

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have teamed up with mobile game developer Simutronics on a brand new Tomb Raider title for iOS and Android. Already being test run by users in the Netherlands as of this morning, the brand new Lara Croft: Relic Run is set to hit the rest of the world in “the coming months“, according to a post on the official Tomb Raider Tumblr page this morning.

As you have likely guessed, it is another endless runner title complete with all the usual Tomb Raider fixings including what the developer calls “seamless transitions between acrobatic-inspired running, combat, vehicles, and epic boss fights, including but not limited to the return of the infamous T-Rex.“

It will be a free-to-play title once it does launch here in North America for iOS, Android and Windows Phone. For those of us outside of the Netherlands, there does appear to be a few videos on Youtube showing off some gameplay.

Be sure to head over to today’s Game/App roundup for all the best price drops across every platform, and check out the latest Free App of the Week.
