Nine Best USB Thumb Drives Deals stories

July 2015 - January 2017

You undoubtably have several USB thumb drives spread throughout your home or office. Most of which are likely poor-performing freebies from trade shows or job fairs. These portable flash storage devices make it easy to quickly transfer large files between computers. Physically they are much smaller than traditional external hard drives, but can still store a tremendous amount of digital files. Most USB thumb drives feature a single USB 2.0/3.0 connector, but some also have microUSB, Lightning, and Wi-Fi. Besides design, the biggest differentiator between USB thumb drives is how fast they are able to read and write data.

Amazon is currently offering some solid deals on Samsung’s attractive little metal flash drives right now. First up is the Samsung 16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive (MUF-16BA/AM) for $6.99 with free shipping for Prime members or in orders over $49. That’s more than 60% below the original listing, matching the Amazon all-time low and the best we can find. We also have 32GB, 64GB and 128GB options below. They all carry a 4+ star rating from over 600 Amazon customers.

While it is certainly possible to find 16GB drives for less, they are only a couple dollars under today’s deal price and usually don’t come with the awesome metal exterior and solid ratings. Here are the rest of the options, all of which with free shipping for Prime members or in orders over $49 and matching the Amazon all-time low (or very close to it):

Apple doesn’t make it easy to expand the storage of its mobile devices. This becomes a big issue when you start shooting HD videos and downloading Retina apps. Most people (especially 16GB device owners) wind up filling their devices to the point that they don’t have enough space to install updates. Over the past couple of years SanDisk’s Connect wireless flash drives have been one of the best ways to workaround this problem: they allow you to have access to huge media files whenever you want and to take as many pictures as you want without eating up precious on-board storage.

This morning SanDisk released its new Connect Wireless Stick. This drive has a refreshed design, lower price point and is now available with up to 128GB. I’ve been using it for the past few days. Read on to find out my first impressions of it: expand full story
