SanDisk unveiled its 200GB microSD card a few months back at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. At that time we were given an estimated street date of Q2 2015 and an MSRP of $399.99. Well, this giant microSD just became available for purchase from Amazon for $239.02.

It features transfer speeds of up to 90MB/s and packs enough storage to accommodate up to 20 hours of full HD video. By no means is this card necessary for average consumers, but professionals with a big tech budget may be able to justify it. MicroSD cards make for great additions to phones and digital cameras for storing photos, videos or apps and can be even be added to MacBooks with one of these adapters. SanDisk’s 128GB version priced at $78.99 is the smarter purchase for most people.

SanDisk’s 200GB beauty is currently the “world’s highest capacity microSD card,” but that may soon change since Microdia already detailed its plans for a 512GB card.

Amazon has two of the most popular (4.7/5 star rating from thousands of reviewers) microSD cards available at their best prices ever:

Prime members (free trial) receive free 2-day shipping on both memory cards. Otherwise, you’ll need to spend at least $35 to sidestep shipping costs. Alternatively, these deals are also available via Best Buy (Evo & Pro models) so you could buy from there and opt for free in-store pickup.

Both of these fast microSD cards are good candidates for your Android smartphone/tablet and digital camera. However, I’d stick with the Pro version if you’re planning to use it in a GoPro. You could also pick up one of these handy adapters to use either of these memory cards as semi-permanent storage for your MacBook Air or Pro. expand full story

Update (2/5 7:30am): Now also available at Amazon.

In light of SanDisk’s new 200GB microSD card checking in at $400, we recommended saving your money and going with the 128GB model if you can forgo the extra GBs.

At that time the 128GB was $99.99, which is a good deal, but now Best Buy has dropped it to $79.99 with free shipping — that’s a great deal.
