From now until October 11th, Starbucks will give you a free tall cup off coffee when you #payitforward and purchase another person’s favorite drink. No coupon or promo code necessary. Full details below, find participating locations here.

Our customers do amazing things everyday. A customer buys the next person in line their favorite beverage—not as an act of charity or thanks—but an acknowledgement of commonality and humanity. The gesture is small, but the act is endlessly inspiring.

In times like these, small acts of civility like these make a big difference. With that, we are extending a gesture. If you come into Starbucks and buy someone else their favorite beverage, we’ll give you a free tall brewed coffee.

We’re hoping this small motivation will encourage you to be the spark of connection that helps bring us all a little closer at a time when showing our unity is so important.

#payitforward—and lets see what can happen.

For the first time ever you can grab a free copy of the popular list-keeping iPhone app, Clear.  We featured this app alongside its release back in February and found that “[Clear] is unlike any other to-do list software, because it includes a multi-touch optimized interface that functions like no other.”  Since its launch it has been featured as the App Store “Best of 2012” and topped out the iTunes download charts.

Clear is only available as a free download via the Starbucks App promotion through this unique link or if you already have the Starbucks App you can find a download link in your “messages” box. U.S. only sorry international readers.
