IGN is now offering Telltale’s The Wolf Among Us episode one on iOS as May’s Free Game of the Month. We are yet to see the title dip below its regular $4.99 listing on the App Store.

The Wolf Among Us released late last year on iOS devices and brought the same gritty and modern take on the adventure game genre Telltale brought with its award winning The Walking Dead franchise. It is a dark take on folk tale lore, and follows the investigation of a brutal murder using Telltale’s “ground-breaking choice and consequence game mechanics.”

The Wolf Among Us is an episodic title that is going to feature 5 episodes per season, of which 3 have been released. Today’s deal will only net you episode 1 for free on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, and following episodes will run you $4.99 as in-app purchases. However, you can save an additional 25% on the remainder of the season (episodes 2-5) via  purchasing the “Multipack” from the episodes menu in the app.

The Wolf Among Us has received an 83/100 Metascore on iOS. More iOS titles from Telltale.
