Apple released a new entry-level 21-inch iMac (MF883LL/A) last week for $1,099, but you can get it today for as low as $829.99 when you furnish a .edu email address. It will cost all other buyers $979.99 (B&H matches). It features a 1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 w/ Turbo Boost up to 2.7GHz, a 500GB hard drive, and 8GB of RAM.

Other current generation, 21 and 27-inch iMacs are also discounted $120 or $270 for .edu customers.

    Caution: Was sold open box unit instead. Best Buy has same SKU for new and open box. Beware of what they sell you.
